Throne & Liberty – Mystic Portal Treasure Hunt Event

Throne & Liberty may have a far smaller player count than when it first launched, but the game is still pumping out updates to keep whoever remains occupied and entertained. One of the more recent additions is a temporary event in which special types of portals appear all around the map when triggered. In this guide, we will show you how to earn some neat rewards from them!

Throne & Liberty: Mystic Portal Treasure Hunt Event

How the event works is that, from the beginning of May up until halfway through the month (May 15), you can claim some Lucky Mystic Keys by simply logging in every day. These are used to open Lucky Mystic Portals, which will take you to a special minigame wherein you can claim various bits of treasure.

All you need to do in order to get these is by clicking on the check in button to the left of the minimap in your UI. You gain multiple of these every day, so you can attempt the minigame plenty of times throughout the event’s duration.

Now, you cannot just use these keys on their own. You will first need to get normal mystic keys by completing contracts and whatnot. With these, you can search for and open mystic globes as you normally would.

Instead of a normal portal, during this event, you are going to spawn a Lucky Mystic Portal in the area.  Again, just search for it as you normally would with the normal versions. With event specific keys on hand, you should be able to use one to enter the treasure hunt event!

As soon as you enter, the tutorial should pop up in your face. You have a bit of time to read through itg before the event actually starts. The main thing you need to know is that it is ]called an excavation event in which you can find buried treasure.

You will be granted a skill called “Search Treasure” that you will need to use in order to find and dig up some riches. However, there are multiple minigames, each with their own quirks that you have to keep in mind.

Just pay attention to your minimap, as the treasure chests will be marked there. As soon as the event begins, pick up a mining explosive, which is a bomb you will find on the ground.

Once you can move around, look for treasure chests and sacks all around the map. Again, these are marked on your map, and they only require simple platforming to reach. Do this until enough time has passed for a golden treasure chest to spawn.

One will appear at around the two minute mark, which is indicated by a flashing icon on your screen. Use your mining explosive on the ground near the golden treasure chest in order to break the walls around it.

Do not worry about the blast radius, as the bomb does not seem to have any damage whenever it hits a player. Just wait for it to detonate and then loot the chest inside!

Now, after around half a minute, another icon will start flashing on your screen. Follow this lever icon and then pull it as soon as you reach it. This will trigger certain events all around the event space.

New chests and treasure bags will appear in random spots of the map, and they will be surrounded by tentacle sandflowers. All you need to do is bait them into attacking you and then dodging to the sides. When they have missed their shots, you have an opportunity to run in and pick up the treasure.

In addition to these flower events, there will also be glowing spots on the ground. Simply walk above them and use your shovel skill to dig up some treasure bags. These things will all appear on your minimap, and with how bright they are glowing, you cannot possibly miss them.

Just dig up as much treasure as you can with the remaining time. Eventually, the timer will hit zero and you will be teleported back to the starting point. There, you will be granted rewards based on how you performed in the minigame.

Stuff you can earn include various resources that you might find useful, including some relatively uncommon drops of trait resonance stone fragments, as well as weapon mastery seals, and even various amitois that you might not have yet.

And that is pretty much everything you need to know in order to participate in this temporary new event in Throne & Liberty. In terms of content, it is a bit divisive within the community as some believe it is not worth the time and effort, but the resources are undeniably useful for everyone!
