Sea of Thieves reached Season 7 and came along with the long-awaited Captaincy. It is an action-adventure game that will make you experience a pirate’s life by sailing, plundering, and treasure hunting. This guide will show you what you need to know about the latest season of the game and the most awaited Captaincy.

Captaincy Guide, All You Need to Know About Season 7

In season 7 of Sea of Thieves, when clicking adventure, there will be a new section called my ships. Clicking on it will allow you to pick your ship type. They are the Sloop, Brigantine, and Galleon.

After selecting, you can name your ship. In the ship’s options, you can set sail, restore, rename and dismantle your ship. The ship’s damage persists every session, but you can pay to repair it.

Renaming the ship is free for the first time. If you want to rename it again, you will need a renaming deed, purchasable at a pirate emporium. Lastly, dismantling the ship will thoroughly remove the boat.

Captaincy Guide

When starting a Captaincy session for the first time, the pirate lord will appear and give you a tutorial. Inside your cabin, you will find the Captain’s logbook. It will contain various information, including the name of the boat, lifetime milestones accomplishments, information about the crew, the Captain’s name, and session-based stat.

If the ship sinks, the Captain’s logbook is dropped, and the other crews can gain an insight into the crew or sell it. Selling it will give you gold and XP based on how many days the previous owners had gone without sinking.

Captain ships allow players to put trinkets. When your ship receives damage, the trinkets will be displaced. Interact with the displaced trinket to put it back into its correct position.

The Shipwright shop has a lot of changes. After talking to the person in charge, you will be shown the stock and captain voyage shop. There is also an option that will fully repair your ship. When selecting the stock, there are three options; Ship Customization, Ship Decoration, and Ship Trinkets.

Selecting supplies and the Captain’s voyage shop will show a variety of items to fill up the ship with. Purchasing them will directly place the resources into the ship’s barrels.

You can also find the new Captain’s Voyage. These new voyages will allow the crew to plan their current adventure by enabling them to set specific activities, voyage lengths, and voyage difficulty.

Purchased Captain’s Voyages will be placed on the Captain’s bookcase. There are ship milestones and a class for each individual milestone. Reaching certain classes will reward you with trinkets and cosmetics used in the Captain’s ship, which can be viewed at the ship’s log tab.

There is a new company called the Sovereigns at every outpost. Sovereigns will interact exclusively with captains and their crews. They distribute treasures among the companies, and you will receive the same golden reputation as if you were the one delivering it. They also have a lift in their outpost that will make you unload your treasure faster.
