In Schedule 1, you will eventually build up your criminal business to the point where you can own various properties and operate stuff automatically through your workers.
The earlier versions of the game had automation be fairly basic. However, recent patches and updates have made efficient layouts, proper routing, and employee management to be far more important.
In this guide, we’ll go through the steps on how to properly automate a cocaine mixing farm.
How to Make Your Farm Automatic in Schedule 1

Before you set up automation, you should have the following:
- A large property or warehouse
- Multiple worker slots unlocked
- Mixing Station Mk2 access
- Reliable cocaine production
- Stable income for wages and supplies
The good old manual Mixing Station still works, but if you’re going for large-scale operations, it’s no longer the ideal method. For this, you’ll need the Mixing Station Mk2 as it’s capable of handling larger batches easily.
Before you get started with your automating shenanigans, make sure to check out our guide on how to make the best cocaine recipe in Schedule 1 first.
This is the recipe you will be following later on, so learn it and prepare yourself, as you are going to be buying a lot of supplies in advance.
Setting Up a Production Chain
Once you are ready to set up your automated farm, get your plant pots and LED lights ready. Also, have at least a single botanist assigned to start working on them.
If you need help with the latter, we have a guide on how to get and use workers that should go over all of the basics when it comes to this.
Next, have the plant pots be assigned to transfer to some drying racks. Following that, the drying racks should then have their destinations be assigned to wherever they are going to be cooked. In this case, you might want to have some cauldrons ready.

Throughout this process, make sure to hire a bunch of handlers as each can only take on so many routes. You will want handlers bringing other necessary materials to your cooking stations so that your chemists can start working on them.
Check if your botanist can send dried leaves to your cauldrons though, as they reportedly can take on this responsibility as well. It can be a bit finnicky, as the game is still suffering from some early access silliness.
Then, set your cooking stations to send stuff to your lab ovens. Don’t forget to assign a few chemists to them. After that, these should have their destinations assigned to the first mixing station of the process.
Producing Coke Mix
Make sure to have the same number of mixing stations as there are ingredients in the coke recipe we shared earlier. Each of the mixing stations should point towards the one that includes the ingredient that comes next in the process.
For example, mixing station #1 should have motor oil on it at all times, so the initial cocaine mix can be created. Then, its next destination assigned should be mixing station #2, which will have Cuke on it at all times.
Repeat this process with the rest until you get to the final ingredient, which will be Mega Beans.
Chemists can move products from one mixing station to the next. As such, you only need handlers for refilling ingredients on the work stations themselves.
At the end, the final product should then be sent to a storage rack or a packaging station. There, a handler can start packing it into whichever containers you desire.

The important thing to keep in mind here is that you will need a lot of handlers employed. Each time you need to move an unfinished product to the next station, a handler should be assigned a route to move it.
For instance, every single mixing station will have a storage shelf assigned to it. This will have a single ingredient stored on it as well. For every one of these, a route must be assigned to one of your handlers.
Using the recipe we shared as an example, the first mixing station should also have a storage rack beside it that contains only an entire stack of motor oil.
Set up a route in one of your handlers wherein they will take motor oil from that shelf and then have them send it to the first mixing station.
Final Thoughts
Repeat this process with each mixing station and designated storage shelf. If you are running out of handlers, consider cutting down on other workers to hire another one or rethink your recipe and routes. Chances are, you might be doing something inefficiently.
And that is everything you need to know in order to automate your cocaine producing facility. This is something that you can do much later in the game, so spend your earlier days experimenting with new recipes.
