The main hurdle is figuring out exactly what the game classifies as “Rod Salvage” and where to reliably find those green and blue-tier drops. In this guide, I will tell you what actually classifies as rod salvage and where to actually look for them. Let’s get right into it!
Best Loot Spots For Enhanced Or Rarer Rod Salvage in Maintenance
To successfully complete this quest, you need to find and loot two Deimosite Rods, Cetinite Rods or Ballistic Turbines. All three of these items count towards “Rod Salvage” but you need to make sure they are of enhanced or rarer rarity.
They spawn inside the Maintenance building at random open spots. You will be able to find them lying on shelves throughout the building. You do not need to look for them in chest’s etc. as they spawn in open areas. If you do not know where Maintenance is located then check the image below.

After finding and looting two rod salvage items, you need to successfully exfil otherwise the quest will not be marked completed.
