‘Coins’ (referred to as ‘Mutcoins’) function as the primary currency in Madden ’23. Unlike other more pay-to-win games and online content, you cannot buy these coins using real-world currency. In Madden ’23, you have to actually earn them.

There is a loop-around to this, though.

Madden “points” are available to purchase in the in-game store, which can then be used to purchase ‘Packs.’ The content of these packs can then be sold in return for coins.

For those that don’t want to buy Madden points, we’re going to explain how to get these coins quickly – as they offer you the fastest way to build up a game-winning team. Here’s how to get free Mutcoins on day one of purchase.

The only way – of course – to naturally earn these coins in-game is through actually playing the game.

Sorry, there’s no loop-around here if you don’t wish to spend real world dough. Many services may claim to ‘offer’ coins that can be bought, but this is a violation of the game policy and can easily result in you getting banned from Madden ’23.

So, stick to playing – and playing often. If you log in every day, Madden will reward you with a ‘loyalty’ bonus, which is typically a few couple hundred coins alone. This increases if you log-in or play on a daily basis and for longer periods of time. Anyone actively playing the game regularly is going to get rewarded with more coins.

However, this doesn’t amount to much in the grand scheme of things.

Challenges and Missions in Madden NFL ‘23

The fastest way to earn coins in Madden ’23 is through completing ‘challenges’ and ‘objectives.’

Madden ’23 is rife with challenges to complete that give coins based upon the challenge and the level of difficulty you’re playing. You can easily earn thousands of coins based upon the completion of missions or objectives completed throughout the season. Headliner missions are a good choice.

There’s also the new early access challenge specifically, which players who had the game early by buying the “All-Access” version would have been able to take advantage of when they got it on August 16th – a few days before the official launch on August 19th.

These exclusive “Early Access” challenges offer the chance for players to earn 23,000 coins by completing specific challenges for which they’ll have to earn 4-stars each. These include gaining 23 yards in a drive, or gaining 23 passing yards in 6 plays or less.

For those that did not purchase the ‘early’ access or do not have an EA pass, you’ll need to stick to traditional challenges, objectives, missions – as well as selling and investing.

Buying, Selling, and Investing in Madden NFL ‘23

The coin system has a functional economy in the game as well, that almost runs similarly to the traditional stock market. Investing wisely and spending a small number of coins up front could net you big gains later, particularly if you buy a player in the auction house being sold for way lower than what they’re actually worth.

Buy the ‘dip,’ as they say.

You can flip and sell cards immediately for a profit assuming there’s still interest.

You can strategically plot this by buying players you might suspect will go up in value and increase in price in coming weeks – this can be based upon real-life performances driving the market in-game.

It’s also essential that you sell in Madden ’23.

You can check out this useful resource to determine price and pricing history of cards to make better judgment calls.

Selling items or cards you have no use for is an easy way to earn some extra coin while cleaning up. If you pay attention to the bottom right of the cards, those with the letters indicating “BND” means that they are bound and cannot be sold to another player through auctions or trades.

Anything you have that is not ‘bound’ can be sold at the auction house to see if you can profit from them – if not, you can always opt to quick sell the card instead.

While quick selling may not always result in coins (often it nets you Training Points instead), you can get 100-200 coins from this option fairly easily (and with minimal effort involved) on your part.

Ultimately, there are a variety of options at your disposal to earn Mutcoins in Madden ’23 – but all of them involve playing and progressing through the game as expected. There’s no cheating your way into riches’ here.
