Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has plenty of quests for you to complete, and even the ones that are a part of the main storyline may have some optional stuff that you can do as well. During one of the main quests of the game, you might encounter the optional step to “Heal Loyza”. This guide will show you how to get that particular step done.

How to Heal Loyza

At some point during The Devil’s Pack main quest, you can complete an optional objective to heal Loyza. In order to do this, you must first examine his injuries. As the note in the quest’s text will tell you, he is the blacksmith’s hand, so that should be an obvious hint for his whereabouts.

Head over to the blacksmith at Miskowitz and you will find Loyza lying down on a bed and being tended to by the smith’s wife, Martha. Get over there and interact with Loyza to start examining his injuries, which will trigger a dialogue encounter.

In order to successfully figure out what is wrong with him, you are going to need a decently high Craftsmanship skill level. Around 9 or 10 should be enough. Once you are done examining him, Henry, as he talks to himself, will pretty much say exactly what you need to do next.

Basically, you will need to clean and bandage the wound, and you will also want to get a healing potion to help him recover faster. With all of that in mind, just get out there and find a bandage and a Marigold decoction (even a weak one will work).

Once the required items are in your inventory, interact with Loyza once more and select all of the appropriate options. As far as the potion goes, a painkiller brew or Chamomile brew of any quality might work as well. If you want to brew your own, we have a guide on alchemy that will help with that.

You can also pray for him, though this will require you to pass a speech skill check. As far as we know, this is not required, and failing this check should not affect his health at all.

And that is all you need to do in order to heal this poor injured peasant. Once you have completed this optional step, you can head back to the bailiff of Miskowitz and continue on with the rest of the quest. This is purely optional, but it does open up a relatively risk-free way to progress through the main objectives, so it is definitely worth doing!

Healing Loyza will lead to an option that will require money. Luckily, this quest takes place in the region of Kuttenberg, which means you can take advantage of one of the best places to sell your items. If you are strapped for Groschen, just liquidate some of your loot with the help of our handy guide on that!
