You don’t even need to get far in the game’s prologue. It does require you to get a weaker Digimon and Digivolve it first, however. How to Get Zubamon EARLY | Digimon Story Time Stranger
You can get Zubamon as soon as you make it to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building: Entrance area. This is extremely early on in the game, and is unmissable! So, you just need to progress a bit through the game’s prologue to reach it.
Once you’re in that area, you need to fight the wild Digimon around. With luck, you should find Punimon, shown above. It’s a small red slime with three prongs of some sort protruding from its head. Defeat Punimon until you get 100% or 200% Scan data for it to “capture” it.
When you finally get your very own Punimon, you just need to level it up slightly. Get EXP from either battling or using the Load Enhancements feature. This feature allows you to convert other Digimon you’ve scanned to EXP for another Digimon, such as Punimon in this case!

Your goal here is to get Punimon’s ATK stat to 200 or higher. Doing that will allow you to Digivolve it into Tsunomon, which is shown above.
After the Digivolution, you might also need to level up Tsunomon to increase its stats a bit. Aim for at least 280 ATK and 200 DEF or higher. This will finally allow you to evolve the Tsunomon into your desired Zubamon! It’s as simple as that.
There you have it, that’s how to get Zubamon as early as possible in Digimon Story Time Stranger! It’s as easy as obtaining BlackGatomon early, which is another Digimon you can get in the same area.
