This puzzle requires you to use the Hand of Zagreus tool to try and balance Oronyx’s Scales. However, the Time Titan Oronyx doesn’t play fair. It kinda throws a tantrum and changes the rules of the puzzle as you try to complete it. Nonetheless, it’s still possible to win!
In this guide, we’ll tell you the solution to the Oronyx’s Scales puzzle in the “Abyss of Fate” Janusopolis area for Honkai: Star Rail 3.0.
Abyss of Fate Janusopolis Oronyx’s Scales Puzzle Solution | Honkai: Star Rail
The Oronyx’s Scales puzzle in the Abyss of Fate Janusopolis area is part of the “Night Veil, Shroud the Silent Past” Trailblaze Mission. You’ll need to use the Hang of Zagreus to solve it, similar to the puzzle in “Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old.” To start, make your way to the Hand of Zagreus terminal on the western side of the room with the puzzle.

You should notice a large sphere in front of you as soon as you take control of the Hand of Zagreus. Grab it and put it on the right side of Oronyx’s Scales, which is next to the sphere. A short cutscene will play right after you place the sphere.
Once the cutscene ends and you resume control of the Hand of Zagreus, go to the western side of the room. You should see a pyramid you can pick up. It will be directly opposite of where the sphere was.
Pick up the pyramid and place it on the right side of the scale, just like with the sphere before. Another short cutscene will play.
When the cutscene ends, you will no longer be engaged with the Hand of Zagreus. You can safely ignore it for now. Instead, go down the slope to the south of the Hand of Zagreus terminal.
Go left after you go down the slope to approach a Miracle Orb. The characters will comment on it, saying it might help illuminate the way forward. After the conversation, approach the Miracle Orb and interact with it.
Using the Miracle Orb
You’re now controlling the Miracle Orb. You can point it to different places, which will remove obstacles blocking the path such as boxes. For now, you just need to activate it and point it toward the crates on the right. It will clear the path up the stairs.
After positioning the Miracle Orb at the stairs, disengage with it. Move your character and follow the path up the stairs that you just cleared out.
Go up the stairs and turn around to spot a Prophecy Tablet puzzle. As Phainon notes, it seems to be key to opening the nearby door. Interact with the Prophecy Tablet to start the puzzle.
Prophecy Tablet: Blockage Unsealed
Like with every other Prophecy Tablet puzzle, you simply need to match the image on the left using the shapes on the right. Remember that overlapping shapes will cancel each other out, which is important to get the right image.
To start, grab the large triangle up top and position it in the center. It should be covering the two small triangles on the top in the background image. Use the screenshot above for reference.
Then, grab the upward small triangle on the bottom left and place it over the topmost part of the large central triangle. It should look like in the image above.
Lastly, grab the downward small triangle on the bottom right and put it right in the middle of the Prophecy Tablet. As before, it should look like the example screenshot above. This will solve the puzzle. The door will unlock and reveal a large weight.
Tipping the Scales Again
As Phainon notes after unlocking the door, there’s a conveniently placed Hand of Zagreus terminal nearby. Interact with it to use the Hand of Zagreus once again.
Once you gain control of the Hand of Zagreus, turn it around and look to the left. You should instantly notice the door you just unlocked. Approach it and grab the large weight within.
Just like before, place the weight on the right side of the scale. At long last, Oronyx’s Scales are actually balanced now!
All that’s left is for you to go down the stairs and go to the central part of the room.
Interact with the book there to perform a “miracle”, as the game puts it. This will remove the boxes blocking your path, so you just need to go up the stairs and through the door.
