The success of your team doesn’t really on your drivers alone. In fact, half the battle happens at the rear, and in F1 Manager 22, that would mean your staff. If you don’t manage your staff properly, you’ll be missing out on a ton of features that would help your team succeed.

That said, let’s have a look at the basics of staff management in the game.

How to Manage Your Staff in F1 Manager 22

You can access all of the information you need about your staff in the Staff tab. Here, you’ll notice that the top person will be the Technical Chief. Basically, the chief is the head of all things related to technical car development.

Just like your drivers, your staff will also have their own attributes as well as performance ratings that could affect the development part of your team. Aside from that, they can also enjoy special bonus effects from certain facilities.

For example, technical chief Pierre Wache can benefit from a Team Hub and a Memorabilia Room. These two facilities will grant him additional Morale the higher their levels are.

If you have a poor-performing staff, you can head over to his profile and on the Contract tab, you have the option to scout for a replacement. This way, you can scout potential candidates with even better stats than the one you currently have. You can filter this via Overall Rating, Age, Championship, and Scouting Data.

On the right corner, you’ll also see extra stats like how likely they are to negotiate the contract, how patient they are during the negotiation, and more. You can use all these metrics to determine a suitable replacement for one of your current staff.

Various Staff Positions

Now, there are several positions for your staff, and each of these positions has its own unique role. Basically, an optimal team is made up of the following:

  • Technical Chief
  • Head of Aerodynamics
  • Engineering Team
  • Scouting Team
  • Pit Crew

Ideally, you want to have all positions filled with members who have a good overall rating. However, just make sure that you have the budget for it, as you’ll also be signing contracts with them the same way you do with your drivers.
