One of the key elements of the new F1 Manager 2022 game is that you need to properly sign drivers and negotiate contracts in order to be successful. However, if this is your first time playing a game of this genre, then things can get quite confusing pretty quickly.

That said, let’s have a look at how you can negotiate contracts the quick and easy way.

How to Negotiate Contracts in F1 Manager 2022

To start, you want to head over to the Driver’s tab. Then, choose from one of your current drivers, specifically the one you want to replace. This is because accepting a new contract will cause the positions to switch.

After choosing which driver to replace, pick the Scout for Replacement option. This will give you a long list of drivers that you can scout. You can also click on a driver’s name to view more statistics like his profile picture, age, team, etc.

Once you have decided which one to choose, it’s now time to start and negotiate a contract. To negotiate a contract, you have to offer a driver a sweet deal in the following areas:

  • The length of the contract
  • Salary
  • Starting bonus
  • Driver position

From there, you have to tweak the numbers based on what you think sounds tempting to them. At the same time, you have to set a budget and have an idea of how much your team can afford.

Sending the Offer

After you have decided on the contract, simply click on the Offer Contract button. At this point, the driver will then try to consider if the contract is worth accepting or not.

If they think it’s a sweet deal, then you’ll sign them right away. But if not, then they will give feedback on the factors that were mentioned above. The feedback will be color-coded, with orange indicating that the offer is below expectations, yellow being mediocre, and green being perfect.

You don’t necessarily have to turn every area into green, but you’d want to avoid getting an orange as it will most likely end up in a rejection. If you get a rejection, you can tweak the orange and yellow areas and try sending the offer again.

However, take note that each failed attempt will impact a driver’s Patience rating. The more rejections you get, the less your chances of signing a driver. Apart from that, you also won’t be able to submit again after a while.

On the other hand, if the driver accepts the offer, then just click on Hire. This will then replace the driver you picked earlier on.
