You should come across a pillar rotation puzzle as you explore your home base, the Lighthouse, in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

There are 3 pairs of statues all over the Lighthouse’s Courtyard. They seem to be linked to a magic gate that hides a secret room. The only clue is that you need to complete “three meetings, face-to-face, under the sky”. Not very descriptive, is it?

Worry not, this guide will help you easily solve the Lighthouse’s pillar rotation puzzle and open up the passage to the secret Music Room!

For this puzzle, you’ll need to find 3 different pillar statues spread all over the Lighthouse’s Courtyard. You must then rotate the pillar so that it points toward its nearby match. To make things easier, we’ve marked the locations of all 3 pillar pairs in the image above. Now, let’s go over each one of them one by one!

Rotating all Lighthouse Pillar Pairs

To reach pair 1, you’ll need to go up the stairs by the Lighthouse’s entrance. You’ll end up on a balcony right above the entrance.

Now, interact with both of the statue pillars on the balcony using the golden levers at their base. Point them at each other to complete this first pair. This is pretty much the same process you’ll have to repeat for the other two pairs. It’s a very simple puzzle once you know where to find the statues, right?

While you’re here, we recommend also rotating the nearby lone statue marked with “3” on our map. It’s right at the top of the southern stairs, marked as “Pair 2 Western” on our map. Rotate it so it faces the east, as shown in the image above.

For pair 2, go to the broken section on the northern part of the Courtyard. There’s one statue on each end of the platform there, with a wide gap between them. Just like before, rotate the statue pillars until they face each other.

If you have trouble reaching the eastern statue, you need to drop to the lower level of the long eastern platform. Just jump where the arrow leads in the image above.

Pair 3 First Statue Reminder

Now, if you’ve been following along, you already rotated one of the statues for the third and final pair. It was the one at the top of the stairs for the first pair, shown above.

For the other statue in the 3rd pair, go to the southeastern corner of the courtyard to find a lone statue. Rotate it so that it faces the Lighthouse and the puzzle will be completed! All that’s left is to claim your rewards.

Entering the Music Room

Music Room Entrance Location

Now that you’re done with the pillar rotation puzzle in the Lighthouse Courtyard, it’s time to enter the secret Music Room and claim your reward. You can enter it from the circular gate found on the northern side of the Lighthouse’s Library, marked on the map above.

Music Room hallway

Go through the gate and reach the end of the hallway to enter the Music Room proper. Explore the room to collect the following rewards:

  • “Memories Of A Duet” Codex Entry on the piano.
  • Around 20 Flawless Crystals from the large chest in the northeastern corner. The exact amount is random.
  • Around 400 Gold from the small chest in the southwestern corner. As before, the exact amount is random.
Inside the Music Room

So, there you have it, that’s all you need to know to solve the Lighthouse statue pillar rotation puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Too bad you can’t actually play the piano in the Music Room, though… it would be a nice way to bond with your companions!
