These new currencies are kinda gross, but they’re pretty useful to have.

The Season of Witchcraft is Season 7 for Diablo 4 and introduces two new types of currency you can find: Fugitive Heads and Restless Rot.

Restless Rot is the most common of the two currencies and has a lot of uses. Primarily, though, you want them to craft Occult Gems and improve your Witchcraft Powers. Fugitive Heads, on the other hand, are rarer but can be traded with Gelena for various materials and large amounts of Restless Rot.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to get both of these currencies during Season 7 in Diablo 4.

Headhunt

First, let’s talk about Headhunts. These are a new endgame activity related to the Tree of Whispers. Three different regions will be chosen randomly every 40 minutes to hold a Headhunt. The exact activities vary for each Headhunt, however. Completing the Whisper bounties within Headhunt zones will reward you with Fugitive Heads.

Additionally, Headhunts might randomly feature Headrotten enemies. These enemies can drop large amounts of Restless Rot when defeated. Headrotten Bosses can also drop Fugitive Heads. Hunting this enemy type is a great source for both currencies! You can further boost how much Restless Rot you get by using the “Urn of Rot” Season Blessing.

Whispering Wood Sigil

Rootholds, on the other hand, are a new small dungeon type. The catch with these dungeons is that they require Whispering Wood Sigils to enter. You mainly get these sigils from Whisper Caches and Silent Chest. Use the Whispering Wood Sigils from your inventory to activate a portal that lets you enter a Roothold.

You primarily want to do Rootholds for Restless Rot. The Rootholds always have Headrotten enemies and Bosses, making them a great source for the currency. You will also encounter Headless Husk bosses inside Rootholds, which drop Fugitive Heads when defeated.

In summary, you can get both the Fugitive Heads and Restless Rot types of currency in by completing the current season’s activities. Make sure to do as many Headhunts and Rootholds as you can!
