Cyberpunk 2077: Secret Glen Encounter in Update 2.1 | Trauma Team In Trouble

CD Projekt Red’s Update 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 added more than just the NCART Metro and Romance hangouts. The update also added a bunch of several hidden world encounters across Night City. 

This makes the open world feel far more dynamic and “alive.”

Another interesting part of the update happens in The Glen, where players can come across a brutal firefight between the Trauma Team and Tyger Claws.

But first, you need to find this secret encounter in The Glen. This guide will show you where to find it and what you can expect.

Secret Glen Encounter in Update 2.1 in Cyberpunk 2077

SIDE NOTE: Before starting the Glen encounter, why not get new wheels? Specifically, the new Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (930) added in 2.1?

To trigger the encounter, simply head to The Glen in Heywood near the Hanford Overpass fast travel point. Once you’re there, follow the road that heads toward Megabuilding H3. As you approach the area, you will hear gunshots.

This is your cue that the event has started.

Follow the sounds of gunfire, then turn right into the combat zone. There, you’ll find Tyger Claws attacking a Trauma Team unit.

NOTE: In the event the encounter didn’t trigger, simply leave the area for a short time and come back later.

From this point, finishing the mission is simple enough. Everyone will be preoccupied trying to kill each other, so just join the fray and start shooting down the Tyger Claw enemies. Give yourself an easier time and try to go for headshots.

The enemies are composed of around ten Tyger members at first. Once you eliminate the first wave of gang members, a second wave will arrive.

One of them will be pretty hard to kill, so keep that in mind. She wields a katana and has a higher health pool than the rest of her gangmates.

Make sure to take her out first. After that, help the trauma team with the rest of the gang and take everyone out.

Is the Secret Encounter Worth Doing?

For a small hidden event, the encounter is surprisingly rewarding.

After all the fighting, you’ll get the opportunity to loot everyone. Make sure to keep an eye out for some archived conversation shards and data transfers. You’ll learn that the fight was a result of an intercepted convoy for one Gregory Schulz. 

You don’t learn much about him other than the fact that he was the package the Tygers were after. More specifically, they were after the petabytes of data in his head.

We probably won’t learn who this “CLASSIFIED” person was, but based on the two trauma team AVs in this fight, they definitely did not upgrade Gregory’s trauma package to platinum.

That said, the event is one of the better examples of the game’s expanded dynamic encounters introduced in the update.
