The Early Access version of Big Ambitions has finally been released. That being said, players have already started their businesses and are already grinding to further expand it.

However, in any type of career, the beginning will always be the hardest. So to make it a little easier for you, here are some tips you’d want to follow:

Do Not Use a Small Wholesaler

At the start of the game, you will meet Uncle Fred. He will guide you with the basics and the initial expansion of your empire. He will also give you some tasks to do, but some of them can be completely skipped and ignored.

One of them is when he asks you to visit the small wholesaler.

Instead, go one block away from it to see a much bigger wholesaler. Here, there will be a wider variety of goods and the items are sold at a much cheaper price.

Get a Van

Since Uncle Fred is too generous, he will hand you a car you can use to travel back and forth. It is quite good as it can fit eight items in the trunk.

However, it is better to replace it with a better one since most of the early game will revolve around traveling back to the wholesaler and bringing the goods with you.

Once you have six grand on your account. run to the truck dealer down the street from the wholesaler. Use the money to buy yourself a van.

Although buying this will lose you a big chunk of money, it will help you save time instead. Think of this as an early investment.

Monitor Your Insight Screen

Use your Insight Screen to check the overall performance of your business, as well as the trend of customers that come over time.

You have to pay a closer look at these graphs. This is where you can see the most efficient part of your business and which areas need a little improvement.

Aside from that, you can also get some clues on what needs improvement by watching customers come and go.

From time to time, you’ll notice text bubbles appearing above their head with their thoughts about your procedure and efficiency.

Mind the Max Customer Capacity

Each building you purchase has a limit to how many customers it can hold. Besides, the equipment in your business also has a limited number of customers it can serve per hour.

That means that doubling equipment also doubles the capacity they can serve.

However, if your equipment don’t reach the maximum customer capacity of the building, you will see a yellow dot beside its name on the list. This indicates that the supply is not enough.

If that happens, you have to buy new equipment to provide enough goods for your customers.

Don’t Hire Cleaners

Hiring cleaners require money to find and train them. However, looking for these staff is actually not that important.

The reason is that all your other employees have cleaning skills as well.

That means you don’t no need to spend extra money to hire another staff to fill. Instead, you can ask just another employee to do the job.

Ask for Deliveries

Picking up things yourself from the wholesaler is also not necessary. In fact, you can talk to the Store Manager and set up Delivery Contracts with them so that you won’t have to squeeze your schedule just to pick up your grocery.

Signing a Delivery Contract will cost you 1000 dollars and another 1000 dollars for every delivery done. Regardless of the box quantity, the delivery fee will always be the same.

Manage Staff in the Headquarters

When you have a big business, it is also expected to increase your number of staff and employees. However, this can make managing them a bit more confusing.

The best thing to do here is to have your own Headquarters. However, doing this will cost you a big sum of money, so only do this when you are financially stable.

Under your Headquarters, you’ll have three different branches that do different tasks for you. These are the HR Managers, Purchasing Agents, and Logistics Managers.

  • Training is handled by the HR Manager. As long as the HR skill is high enough, you don’t need to worry about training anymore.
  • Purchasing Managers, on the other hand, are responsible for the major discounts on bulk importing.
  • Lastly, Logistics Managers are in charge of the delivery of goods as well as keeping tabs of the stocks available in those businesses.

Happiness

Another important mechanic is the Happiness Level. You can see it between your current money and hunger. The level of your happiness has a significant impact on your employees’ morale as well as your ability to manage your staff.

Plus, each worker has his or her own Wants & Demands, and some of them want a peaceful work environment. You can only provide them with this if you are in a good mood.

You can increase your happiness by playing video games, watching the television, walking outside, sleeping in the park, and visiting a casino.
