Best 10 Mechs You Need To Learn Early in Mecha Break

Which mechs should you learn to use first in this new mech fighter online game?

Mecha Break is a new third person shooting mech game that is completely free to play, but as expected, that comes with a lot of microtransaction nonsense and other typical problems that one would expect. Setting that aside, there are a ton of mechs to choose from and various game modes to play. If you are a new player, this list will show you the ten best choices to begin with if you are still learning the ropes.

Best 10 Mechs You Need To Learn Early in Mecha Break

Before we get started, keep in mind that this list is done in no particular order and is mainly based on the opinions of the community. The game literally just came out, so this can very well be woefully inaccurate after just a week of people figuring out the meta with the launch version.

If your favorite got left out, that also does not mean that it is bad. In fact, it is highly encouraged that you just try out what you think is fun and see where it goes from there, just like any other “hero shooter” type games like this one.

With all of that said, this list will contain ten different mechs that cover varying use cases, which means that it will only exclude just a couple of them as there are barely over ten mechs anyway. This will hopefully help you pick a couple to start with if you are still facing a bit of decision paralysis.

Mech #1 – Tricera

The Tricera is a good choice for people who want to be a little more tankier than normal or those who just struggle to survive in general. It has powerful defensive capabilities and a gatling gun that can deal a lot of sustained damage. Its main drawback is that it is extremely slow, so if you are not into the sluggish protector type of gameplay, you may want to consider something else.

Mech #2 – Welkin

The Welkin mech has a lot of offensive capabilities and is labeled as a heavy bruiser. It is the perfect pick for players who want a more balanced experience, as it offers both decent mobility and damage, like a jack of all trades and a master of none. It can get up close and punish enemy mechs while also having enough mobility to switch to a more passive approach.

Mech #3 – Alysnes

Alysnes is the mech that you start with when you learn how to play the game for the first time. As such, it is the “default” choice that you should at least try to get a hang of while you are still new to the game. It is a decent all arounder that does not necessarily excel at anything, but it is a completely serviceable mech in any situation.

Mech #4 – Luminae

Luminae excels in movement as it is capable of flying around quickly and zipping around enemies. It is more of a support mech that specializes in disrupting enemies and leaving them vulnerable for your team’s heavy hitters. Its weakness is that it is very fragile compared to most of the other mechs, so you will need to master its highly mobile kit to survive.

Mech #5 – Stego

The Stego is also relatively slow, but not quite like the Tricera. Its specialty is delivering slow but extremely powerful attacks. It is one of the deadliest mechs to face out in the field, but it will take a bit of time to master its timings as it has extremely slow abilities that also render you a bit immobile. Be careful around faster mechs if you face one out in the open.

Mech #6 – Aquila

This mech is the game’s default sniper class, so it should be pretty obvious what this one does and what to do with it. It is a glass cannon that can completely obliterate enemies when played by a skilled player. If you plan on learning this one, make sure to master its movement as well, as you are going to be a very easy target to destroy otherwise.

Mech #7 – Inferno

Inferno is a heavy attacker that is built for suppressive fire, and it requires a bit of timing to fully maximize its damage output. It specializes in sustained heavy attacks, and while it is extremely dangerous, it is left a bit vulnerable after its bursts due to the slow reload times that its weapons have.

Mech #8 – Narukami

Narukami is the other, more unconventional “sniper” of the game. It uses an energy weapon that can deal a ton of damage, but it is also extremely vulnerable and requires smart use of its abilities to stay alive and undetected. If this sounds interesting to you, consider picking it up and learning how to take full advantage of its kit, because it will take a bit of practice to use this mech to its full potential.

Mech #9 – Falcon

Falcon is another powerful mech when played by someone who can take full advantage of its immense mobility. You can dip in and out of fights, dealing a ton of chip damage each time you dive into the thick of combat. It is not the best in terms of burst damage, but it is consistent and equally dangerous if you know how to time your engagements.

Mech #10 – Pinaka

Pinaka is one of your earlier choices and it is a support type mech that can zip around to avoid damage and help teammates get back up to full health. It has a lot of clutch potential due to its support tools, and your team will learn to love having one of these around because of how it can drop cover around the map and just quickly heal other mechs up.

And that is a wrap for this list. Again, there are only barely over ten mechs in the game, so technically, this list is just a brief overview of what most of them can do. It covers all of the roles nicely, so there is bound to be at least one mech that will resonate with your own personal play style.
