Mecha Break is a new third person “hero shooter” mech game that is completely free to play, though it does come with the caveat that you will need to do some grinding to unlock other mechs to use. With all the grinding you will need to do, it might be worth your time to carefully weigh your options and choose mechs that you think you can master, so in this tier list, we will be going through how easy or hard your potential choices are going to be.

Mecha Break – Mechs Difficulty Tier List

There are a handful of playable mechs in the game as of the launch version of Mecha Break, so it may be a bit overwhelming when it comes to finding which one resonates with you the most, especially with how you unlock most of them.

In this tier list of sorts, we will be categorizing each mech based on how hard they can be to play based on the opinions of the community at the moment.

Take note that this is all purely subjective and is likely to change over time as players become more familiar with the game. Remember, this literally just came out, so a lot can change within the next couple of weeks!

Easy Tier

  • Stego – Stego is a heavy attacker mech that is not only incredibly tanky, but also really strong in terms of raw damage. It is largely immobile, but it can be an amazing anchor that can be a headache to deal with. As far as its abilities go, it is extremely easy to learn and play to its full potential.
  • Tricera – Tricera is also very easy to learn and, just like Stego, is a slow but powerful mech in terms of raw damage. It has decent survivability and damage, and with how easy it is to play, anyone can pick it up and do pretty well no matter what.
  • Hurricane – Hurricane has a very straightforward and easy to use kit, making it one of the easiest mechs to use in the game in terms of pure mechanics. It is also a fairly versatile pick, so even new players can get a lot of mileage out of playing this one.

Medium Tier

  • Inferno – Inferno, while considered a strong mech, may be a bit hard for newer players to get a grasp of due to how it relies a lot on proper positioning and timing, and it often needs some help from teammates to be at their peak effectiveness.
  • Welkin – Welkin is relatively easy to use, but it is more of a frontline brawler that may be a bit intimidating for newer players due to the expectations surrounding it. This mech dives in and takes advantage of its tankiness to win duels against stragglers or during team fights.
  • Luminae – This one is more of a support mech, and newer players might have a tough time balancing between offensive and supportive modes. Learning it is not exactly that difficult, however, it is just a matter of building more game sense and experience by playing more as it.
  • Pinaka – Just like the previous entry in this category, this mech is more of a healer than a damage dealer. Again, the difficulty does not really come with the fact that it is “hard” to play, but rather how it requires a bit of game sense and knowledge to fully maximize its potential in a match.
  • Alysnes – It is a fairly easy mech to learn but not necessarily to master and play at its full potential. It is a versatile choice for any player, and while it is not in the easiest category, it is worth learning for the sake of having a good all arounder in your belt.
  • Serenith – This unit is more of a support that is seemingly focused on disrupting enemies rather than directly helping teammates. Although its kit does not look particularly complicated, it can be a bit tough to figure out how to properly utilize it at the start. Not too hard, but not exactly simple either.

Hard Tier

  • Aquila – Aquila is one of the few snipers in the game, and its difficulty comes more with how hard it can be to actually be effective with this mech due to its high skill ceiling and better players being able to counter it by simply having decent game sense and positioning.
  • Narukami – This one is here for the same reason as Aquila, since they are both snipers. As the players get better, maximizing this mech’s potential can be difficult due to how people will easily counter you eventually. This does not make this mech unplayable, but a newer individual will have a tough time getting started with it.
  • Panther – Panther looks amazing and can destroy teams in the hands of a good player, but those who are inexperienced will soon realize how difficult it can be to actually use this mech. It requires you to be up close and personal to your enemies, and it is easy to leave yourself vulnerable if you have no idea what you are doing.
  • Stellaris – Stellaris is in here for the same reasons as Panther. It is a light brawler mech that is focused more on melee combat, though it does have limited range capabilities. It is extremely strong in the hands of a good player, while an inexperienced one can end up dying a lot if another mech so much as grazes them.
  • Falcon – This mech is extremely strong in the hands of a player who can take full advantage of its kit. However, mastering it is extremely difficult, especially if you are still new to the game. It has a very high skill ceiling, but because of how fun it is to use, there is a chance that it will be one of the most common you will encounter.
  • Skyraider – This mech is here for the same reasons as Falcon, because it is another flying menace that could be rendered pretty useless in the hands of an inexperienced player. Once you have mastered it, if ever, then it becomes a terrifying mech to face.

And that is all there is to it. Again, the game literally just came out, and with various balance updates and more coming in the near future, you should expect changes that will inevitably render this list largely inaccurate.
