Arknights: Endfield is finally out, and you probably want some help to make the most of day 1.
After all, gacha games do require a certain approach to them if you want to be optimal. There’s limited content and time-gating, so you want to make the most of what you can get on each day!
In this guide, I’ll help you make the most of your first day in the game.
Important Progression for Day 1 | Arknights: Endfield
Meet Andre, Chief AIC Engineer

First of all, you’ll need to start the game as normal and focus on the story. At one point early on, you’ll meet Andre, the Chief AIC Engineer. Talk with him and you’ll get a short tutorial.

Upon completion, you’ll receive 2 Portable Originium Rigs. It’s important that you place them on the ore nodes near Andre, as they will start mining valuable Originium ore that you’ll need for your progression throughout the game.
Keep in mind, these rigs can only hold 50 ore at a time. Once they reach full capacity, they’ll stop working. Remember to come back every now and then to collect the ore and resume mining.
Progress Until You Unlock the Sanity System

Next up, you’ll want to once again focus on the main story up until you unlock the Sanity system. This is Endfield’s equivalent of a stamina system. It’s required for activities that give you resources for progression.
If you’re familiar with gachas, you know what to do at this point: complete activities that consume Sanity so that it can start refilling.
Spend at least 40 Sanity at this point. However, it’s not bad to use more, as it will complete daily and weekly tasks. It can take quite a while for Sanity to refill, but the important part is just to not let it stay capped out for long.
Do the Daily Tasks

As with almost any live service game, there are daily tasks for you to do. The game will introduce you to them as part of the tutorial for your Operational Manual.
To speed up progression, make sure to log in daily and do all of these tasks! And that includes on Day 1, of course.
Unlock the Electric Mining Rig

Next, you want to just continue the story again until you unlock the Electric Mining Rig. At the same time, make sure to do the AIC Refiner and AIC Shredder tutorials. The goal is to expand your base’s functionality here.

Once you unlock the Electric Mining Rig, return to Andre. Collect any materials in your Portable Origininium Rigs and then remove them from your base. Replace them with Electric Mining Rigs and remember to place a Relay Tower between them to power them up!
These Electric Mining Rigs can get higher-tier ores and are also more efficient. It’s a nice upgrade for this early in the game.
Reach Authority Level 15

If you’ve kept up with the story, you should reach the “Work Preparations” main quest. This will require you to reach Authority Level 15, while you’re still at around Level 12 or so.

Once you hit this roadblock, you want to start doing side content! First of all, make sure to spend any excess Sanity you still have. Ideally, use it on Protocol Space: Promotions to get Protodisks.
Also, start exploring the open world. Find as many collectibles and chests as you can, defeat elite enemies, connect Electric Nexus nodes, and just explore in general. This is a great source of resources and experience!
At the same time, it’s a good idea to start doing any side missions you come across. They are entertaining, and another great source of materials and experience.

When you’ve made good progress, check the Operation Manual in the menu and claim all of the rewards there for you. This is a great boost of experience, and can be enough to get you to Level 15 if you’ve done enough exploration.
If you follow this guide and checklist until now, you should be able to reach Authority Level 15 on Day 1 of Arknights: Endfield. This is the first major roadblock in your progression, so clearing it this early is certainly a feat!
