How to get Vaporizer Regulator
Vaporizer Regulators are dropped by taking down a Vaporizer and looting it afterward. To find Vaporizers you need to queue into the Close Scrutiny map condition added with the Flashpoint update, as you will not encounter them anywhere else.
Vaporizers do not have fixed spawn points but the easiest way to track them down is to look for red laser beams shooting up into the sky. These mark the landing site of an Assessor probe, and wherever an Assessor lands you will find a couple of Vaporizers circling and guarding it. Just keep in mind that those red beams are visible to the entire lobby, so expect other squads heading to the same spot.

The Vaporizer looks like an oversized Firefly at first glance but it is significantly more dangerous and hits a lot harder. It moves fast, fires a continuous thermal laser that can burn through your shields quickly, and can even deploy an energy shield that blocks all incoming damage including grenades.
A good approach is to bait one away from the group by getting its attention and pulling it off to the side. This gives you a much cleaner fight without the other Vaporizers piling on at the same time. Once you have it isolated, target its thrusters to bring it down, just like you would with other drones in the game. It has eight of them spread across its four corners, so focus your fire there and you will ground it a lot faster than shooting at the body.
