162 articles“A Dead End” is a quest you can get from Shani in ARC Raiders, added with the Shrouded Sky update.
In this quest, Shani wants you to dive into a high-security room deep within The Blue Gate. You should be able to dig up some info on what happened to an earthquake-resistant housing project that was seemingly shut down by MANTIKOR!
In this quick guide, I’ll help you easily complete this quest.
How to Complete the “A Dead End” Quest
To start this quest, you should go to the Reinforced Reception building in the northern part of The Blue Gate. I’ve marked it for your convenience on the map above.

ARC Raiders: Where to Find Turbine CompressorApr 30, 2026As soon as you enter the building, take the zipline down the elevator hatch to reach the Security Wing underground.
Once you get into the Security Wing, you’ll need to look for a fuel cell holder. It looks like the one shown above.
The trick here is that these do not have a set spawn location, so you’ll need to look around for them on your own. But, I’ll tell you their potential spawn locations:
One would be right below the stairs with the L and R colored signs.
For another location, go inside the room that has the L and R colored signs. You could find the fuel cells there, near one of the breachable containers.
Another location is upstairs, by following the red L sign. It would be in front of you and slightly to the right as you go up the stairs.
Lastly, they could also appear right below one of the yellow arrow signs. Follow the yellow arrows for this one.
When you do find the fuel cells, follow the blue line on the ground and it will take you to a large locked steel gate. You need to bring and place 3 fuel cells on the box next to the steel gate. It’s the same as the Reinforced Reception fuel cells puzzle!
Once you manage to bring all the fuel cells to the box, use the panel next to the steel gate to open it up.
Then, go into the far end of the room. Interact with the terminal on the right to play a recording, then grab the Dusty Film Reel on the far left corner of the screen. The video below shows the process.
With that done, you just need to extract with the Dusty Film Reel in your possession! Return to Shani and deliver it to complete the “A Dead End” quest in ARC Raiders.
