Mounts play an integral part in your Minecraft Legends playthrough. Not only will you use them to traverse the world and travel from one place to another much more quickly, but you can also use them for combat.

That said, there are plenty of mounts you can find in the game. Each of them has its own unique abilities that set them apart from other mounts.

Due to this, it can be a bit complicated to decide which is the best mount in the game for both PvP and PvE purposes. Luckily, we’re here to help you decide in this guide.

As far as we know, there are three different types of mounts in the game.

There’s the purple Regal Tiger, the tropical Big Beak, the brilliant Brilliant beetle, and the trusty ‘ole Horse. Each of these mounts specializes in a different style.

For example, the Big Beak is capable of climbing structures which makes it pretty useful for climbing mountains with its ability to double jump.

The Regal Tiger is perfect for quick travel as it allows you to cover large distances as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, the Brilliant Beetle has the ability to climb vertical surfaces, particularly base walls.

When it comes to PvE and just plain exploration of the map, by far the best mount for that purpose would be the Brilliant Beetle.

Its ability to climb mountains and just about any vertical surface means nothing’s standing in the way of your exploration.

It even has some form of a glide mechanic which can help you cross areas of the map pretty quickly. While the Big Beak can soar high in the sky for a longer period, the Brilliant Beetle is still vastly superior when you’re just out there exploring the world.

Also, of all the mounts in the game, the Brilliant Beetle is the fastest when it comes to crossing bodies of water. Its versatility is just unbeatable on all fronts.

On the other hand, if you want to engage in battle with a mount by your side, then the Brilliant Beetle still remains the best choice.

While you can argue that the Regal Tiger is perfect for fighting against enemies, the fact is that most battles don’t happen in the open field. Instead, most battles are fought in sieges where you invade your enemies’ base.

Especially if you consider the current PvP meta, you’ll learn that the Brilliant Beetle is the most popular choice.

That’s because it allows players to pass through walls and barriers which are one of the obstacles that prevent players from defeating their enemies.

That’s not to say that the other mounts are useless. They still have their own uses, but they’re mostly situational.

Overall, the Brilliant Beetle would be the best choice in both PvE and PvP aspects. If there’s one thing that’s lacking, it’s that its speed is a bit lacking.

But hey, you can’t have it all!
