With just weeks left before Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases, TeamRICOCHET has been hard at work on improving the game’s anti-cheat system. According to their statement, nearly 99% of matches were cheater-free by the end of the beta.

Just a week ago, Activision reported that 97% of cheaters were caught just 30 minutes after they signed into the beta. Not long ago, that percentage has risen to 99%.

“Cheaters were expected. But our upgraded systems caught them faster than ever, powered by strengthened TPM 2.0 checks and automated systems helping to eliminate a large number of attempts to cheat,” said Activision.

This simply means one thing: it won’t be for long before Black Ops 7 will be completely cheater-free when it launches.

In an update shared by user CODUpdates over at X, the median time for detecting cheaters was reduced into just 3 matches. This makes it the strongest beta results in the entirety of Call of Duty’s history.

Cheaters have long been an ongoing issue in online first-person shooters with a multiplayer aspect, and it’s quite prominent in a game like Call of Duty.

Which is why Activision and TeamRICOCHET have been aggressively curbstomping cheaters right before Black Ops 7 releases.

This is just the beginning of Activision and TeamRICOCHET’s combined efforts. Once Black Ops 7 launches, they will implement every layer of protection available, and their anti-cheat defenses will only keep on growing stronger.

Despite all that, some fans remain skeptical. Some commented saying that the anti-cheat wasn’t able to detect Cronus. Some also think that the number is actually lower than what’s been given.

“This is such a lie, 99% of matches had cheaters at the end of the beta it was unplayable and I couldn’t get no kills. Every time I watched kill cams they never missed one bullet on me.” says a comment.

With all things considered, whether or not cheaters will continue plaguing the game remains to be seen.
