At this point, it’s really no secret that ARC Raiders is taking the gaming world by storm. Statistics from SteamDB showed that the game has already reached an all-time peak of roughly 354,000 in the past 24 hours.

This concurrent player count places ARC Raiders at the upper ranks alongside GTA 5, Borderlands 4, Monster Hunter: World, and even Starfield.

However, do note that this figure is on Steam alone, so the total number throughout all platforms could be way higher.

Unfortunately, alongside its massive surge in popularity, the game’s servers are also going through intense pressure as players experience recurring matchmaking issues and lengthy queue times.

According to reports, players are experiencing roughly 5-10 minute queues on average before they can join a match.

There were also issues regarding matchmaking errors, which understandably frustrated a lot of players.

Some took to Reddit to share screenshots of the error messages they’re receiving. Moreover, a lot of Twitch streamers were also seen getting stuck in these queues.

There are also players who mentioned that they’ve been matchmaking for more than 5 minutes and the game doesn’t let them cancel the search.

It’s for these reasons that you can see a sharp decline in the Steam charts after the game hit its player peak, as shown in the image below:

Players are Getting Stuck in Matchmaking Queues and Errors

Embark Studios recognized the issues and said they’re currently investigating the errors in the hopes of rolling out a patch soon enough.

On the official ARC Raiders Discord, Community Lead Ossen announced:

“The team has implemented a login queue as a temporary measure in order to mitigate issues related to forming parties and using voice channels which will make your matchmaking longer than usual. For those of you still running into issues, please keep us posted. The team continues to investigate.”

They also implemented a 15-minute cooldown on posts in the official Discord’s main chat to regulate the number of complaints.

Players have reported that ARC Raiders’ servers are now back in action, though a lot are still caught up in queue-related issues.

Regardless, a lot have already managed to get into matches. However, Embark Studios has to temporarily limit the number of players they let back as they figure out how to solve the issue.

That said, the issue has garnered mixed reactions from players. Some jokingly called the game a “queue simulator,” while others weren’t so happy with the current situation.

It’s pretty understandable considering the game is becoming bigger and bigger as the days go by.

As of this writing, Embark Studios hasn’t given any confirmation yet as to when the issues will be resolved.

For now, we can only follow the updates, especially on their official Discord, as they work hard to resolve the issues.
