You might find some Golden Idols while exploring during Act 3 of Path of Exile 2 and end up wondering what to do with them.
There’s no real quest tied to them, although the game lists them as quest items. Not that the game is particularly helpful, either. It doesn’t tell you anything related to these idols’ uses!
Fret not, however. You have us here to help! Just read on and we’ll tell you everything there is to know about the Golden Idols and what to do with them.
What Do With The Golden Idols | Path Of Exile 2
Just in case, let us first remind you that you can get the Golden Idols during Act 3 in Path of Exile 2. They spawn randomly in the Utzaal area, guarded by powerful Elite enemies.
Aside from the Golden Idols, you can also find the Exquisite Idols in Aggorat. Just like the Golden Idols, they spawn randomly around the map and are guarded by powerful foes.
As for what to do with both the Golden and Exquisite Idols, you’re simply meant to sell them to Oswald in the Ziggurat Encampment. He’ll pay you the following prices for each one:
Exquisite Idol / Golden Idol – 500 Gold
Elegant Idol / Grand Idol – 1000 Gold
Exceptional Idol / Glorious Idol – 1500 Gold
If you’re specifically planning to hunt down these idols, we advise against it. Frankly, the amount of Gold you get is simply not worth the effort at this point in the game. It’s worth selling them to Oswald if you find them randomly while exploring, sure, but not worth going out of your way for.
Aside from selling them, you might also notice that they can form sentences based on their description. These aren’t very useful or meaningful, though. Nonetheless, here’s the full sentences if you’re curious:
Golden Idols – Golden treasure lies forgotten in the depths of an ancient ruin rewarding any bold enough to seek it.
Exceptional Idols – Brilliant idols of immense value prized for their rarity and exquisite craftsmanship.
That might all be pretty disappointing, but that’s what you can do with the Golden Idols you find in Path of Exile 2. For something a bit more meaningful, check out our guide on what to do with the Sacrificial Heart you can also find during Act 3!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
