The current island in FortniteChapter 6 has a couple of secret vault locations that are definitely worth checking out.
Finding these vaults is definitely no easy feat on your own, though. There’s a reason they’re secret vaults, after all! They don’t show up anywhere on the map, unlike some vaults in past chapters of the game. Plus, one of them requires you to solve a fairly obtuse puzzle side quest to enter.
Of course, that’s no big deal since you’re here! Read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to know about all the secret vault locations and how to enter them.
All Secret Vault Locations in Fortnite Chapter 6
Nightshift Forest
The first of the two secret vault locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 we’ll cover is the one in Nightshift Forest. This one requires you to get a Mythic Vault Key to enter first, as we covered in its dedicated article. So, to begin, explore the southern part of Nightshift Forest.
Once you’re there, you want to look for a Sprite. They are slime-like creatures, like the Water Sprite shown above. Their spawn locations are somewhat random, but you can find them frolicking around the southern Nightshift Forest. However, sometimes they appear further south, closer to Warrior’s Watch.
Either way, find a Sprite and grab it. Then, look for Bushranger on the western part of Nightshift Forest.
Do note that Bushranger’s exact location changes each match, however. Nonetheless, he’s always on the western side of Nightshift Forest, particularly near the Tanuki Shrines. Also, he seems to only spawn after a few Storm phases have passed, but the exact number is unknown.
Talk with Bushranger and show him the Sprite you grabbed. Complete the conversation with him and he’ll take the Sprite. He’ll also turn the night to day and, most importantly, give you the Mythic Vault Key!
If you’re unable to offer him the Sprite, that’s because another player already did so this match. There’s nothing you can do in such cases besides try again in a different match, sadly…
Now, to open the Mythic Vault Door, you just have to approach it. You can find it near the center of the Nightshift Forest. As you can see on the map above, it’s northeast of the area’s title in-game.
Simply get close to the vault and choose to open it. It will automatically consume your Mythic Vault Key, but the door will slide away to let you enter the vault.
All that’s left is for you to go inside and claim all the loot within! Most notably, you can find the Typhoon Blade on a stand in the middle of the vault!
Magic Mosses
The second secret vault is a lot easier to get into than the one in Nightshift Forest. You don’t even need a Vault Key to enter it! To start, go to Magic Mosses on the northern part of the island, marked above.
Once you get to Magic Mosses, you want to find a Sprite. Any type will do! You can use the Sprite Shrines in the area to reveal their locations and make them easier to spot.
When you’ve managed to grab a Sprite, go to the spot marked on the map above. It’s near the center of the Magic Mosses area. On the minimap, it’s directly above the “C” in Magic.
You’ll find a small open structure there. Stand directly under the roof and you’ll notice that the floor is made of planks. Break it to land on a lower level with a chest.
Now, you can open the chest if you want to get the loot. Then, break the second wooden floor to fall even further down into a large cave.
Once you’re inside the cave, go to the eastern wall by the turtle statues. Take out the Sprite you grabbed and the wall will slide upward, revealing another secret room.
Go into the room and then break the rocks behind the chest. Of course, loot the chest as well, if you want!
With the rocks gone, you can now finally enter the Magic Mosses vault! All the loot within is yours, provided no other player got here first. Like the previous vault, this is one of the spots where you can find the Typhoon Blade. When you’re done looting, you can use the Teleportation Port-a-Potty inside the vault to leave.
There you have it, now you know all the locations of every secret vault in Fortnite Chapter 6!
