Fortnite’s latest season, Absolute Doom, brings a complete questline fully centered around one of Marvel’s most iconic villains, Dr Doom. There are a total of 12 quests in this Dr Doom-themed questline, and completing all of them will reward you with a very unique Dr Doom skin.
In this guide, we will be looking at all 12 Doom quests in Fornite’s latest season, and what you need to do to complete these quests. Completing the quests will also reward you with a bunch of other rewards that fit into the season’s Doom theme.
All Doom Quests Guide
Quest 1 – Survive Fire Damage
The first Dr Doom quest is pretty simple, as all you need to do to complete this quest is survive fire damage. It doesn’t matter where you take this damage, as any source of fire is ok for this quest. Probably the safest way to complete this challenge is by using a campfire. A campfire will passively heal you while you are taking damage from it. So as the fire is burning you, you will get some of your health back.
Quest 2 – Crack Opponents Shield
Like the first quest, this one is also pretty easy to complete. Completing this quest will require you to break shields off of your opponents. The best thing about this quest is that you won’t have to go out of your way to complete it. You can naturally just crack shields while playing the game.
It’s important to note that completing this quest only requires you to crack shields, not damage them. So, the final hit of damage that breaks the opponent’s shield is the only one that matters
Quest 3 – Hit Rocks or Stone Structures
To complete this quest, you will need to hit rock or stone structures. So, the only real issue that you can have with this quest is finding rocks or stone rocks to hit.
Your best approach for this quest is to head on over to a town or area where rocks or stone buildings are very common.
Doom Castle is a good place that you can go for this quest as that area is filled with stone. From the big castle to the basic architecture, finding rocks or stone structures to hit should be pretty easy here.
Quest 4 – Damage Opponents From Beyond 44 Meters
For the fourth quest, you will need to damage opponents that are at least 44 meters away from you. The best way to complete this quest is by using a weapon that is very good in long-range engagements.
Also, make sure that you use pings while doing this quest, as pings in Fortnite will show you the distance between you and the ping. Any kill over 44 meters away will complete this quest.
Quest 5 – Crouch at the Memorial Statue
The “Crouch at the Memorial Statue” quest is a bit trickier than the other quests mentioned so far, as this quest can only be completed at a certain location on the map. You will need to find the Memorial Statue and crouch before it.
The Memorial Statue is located just east of the Rebel’s Roost area. You can find the exact location of this statue marked on the map above.
Once you find the statue, you can complete the quest by simply crouching in front of it. There’s no special animation for this, but crouching right in front of the statue will complete the quest for you.
Quest 6 – Drop War Machines Arsenal, Hover Jets, or Auto Turret
For this next quest, you will need to drop 1 of the 3 War Machine items that you can find in this game. All 3 of these items can drop from Avenger Chests and Doom Chests.
This quest can be a bit annoying to complete because it requires you to find a War Machine item to drop. The items are epic drops, so the chances of them dropping from chests are also a bit lower than normal loot. Once you get 1 of these items in your inventory, you can complete this quest by simply dropping them down.
Quest 7 – Open Rare Chests
All you need to do for this quest is open rare chests. The rare chests that you need to open can be found all around the map, but if you are looking for a guaranteed place for them, you can make your way towards a bunker. Bunkers in Fortnite will almost always have at least one rare chest that you can loot.
Quest 8 – Hit Other Players with Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets
Before you can complete this quest, you will need to get your hands on Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets. The Arcane Gauntles are a mythic weapon that will drop from the Doombot boss after you kill it.
Doombot can be found sitting on his throne inside Castle Doom. The boss fight itself is pretty challenging, as Doombot has extremely high damage and is pretty tanky too. You can take on Doombot alongside a friend to make the engagement a bit easier.
After you kill Doombot, his Arcane Gauntlets will drop from his body. All that you need to do now is kill a bunch of opponents using the Arcane Gauntlets. This is the more straightforward part of this quest, as the gauntlets are an extremely strong weapon, and using them will make it easier for you to take down other players.
Other than the Arcane Gauntlets, you will also get the Monarch Pistol Mythic Weapon after killing Doombot. Make sure you check out our guide on getting that weapon and completing the quest related to that weapon.
Quest 9 – Place 1st or 2nd
This is a pretty straightforward quest, as all you need to do for it is win a game or place 2nd in one. There are also no conditions to this, so any win or 2nd place finish will complete this quest for you.
Quest 10 – Claim Captain America’s Shield or Shuri’s Black Panther Claws From Eliminated Players
In terms of difficulty, this is probably the hardest Doom quest, as the items that you need to claim for this quest will need to come from eliminated players. Items drops from chests or other places will not count towards this quest.
The best way to complete this quest is by looking for players who might be using these items and eliminating them for it. You only need to get 1 of these 2 items to complete this quest, so if you find a player using either of them, lock in on them.
Quest 11 – Eliminate Players in Doomstadt, Castle Doom, or Doom’s Courtyard
For this next quest, you will need to eliminate players in any of the 3 new Doom-themed locations on the map.
All 3 locations can be found towards the North of the game’s map, and they are all pretty much next to each other. Eliminating opponents in any of these locations will complete this quest for you.
There’s also a good chance that a lot of other players will also drop at these locations to complete their own Doom quests. This does make it a bit harder to survive in these areas, but it can also help you complete the quest a bit quicker, as there are more enemies for you to kill.
Quest 12 – Dispose of Followers or Henchmen
For this quest, you will need to eliminate Dr Doom’s Followers or his Henchmen. The best way to complete this quest is by dropping near Dig Sites, or locations where a Boss is. Henchmen will always be present at these locations, allowing you to complete this quest pretty quickly.
The enemies that you need to dispose of for this quest are pretty easy to take down, as they don’t have much health and don’t really deal an insane amount of damage. That said, you will mostly find these enemies in groups, so do be wary of that.
You will earn a unique reward after each quest in the Doom questline in Fortnite. The rewards that you will get from these quests will fully depend on how many quests you’ve completed. So, the order in which you complete these quests doesn’t matter.
