The “Striking Steel” questline in WoW: The War Within is all about you helping to start establishing trading routes in Mereldar.
Aurelia Steelstrike says she used to trade with the Earthen, but she hasn’t been able to hear back from them due to recent events. Help her restart trading or find new trading partners in this questline!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to do the first quest to start the “Striking Steel” questline.
How to Start Striking Steel Questline | WoW: The War Within
You can start the “Striking Steel” questline in WoW: The War Within by talking to Aurelia Steelstrike once you’re at Level 75. She can be found in Mereldar, which is in the Hallowfall region of Khaz Algar. Her coordinates are 41.28 and 53.02.
Once you find Aurelia Steelstrike at her tent, talk with her and choose the “Economical Request” quest. She’ll say that she’s lost contact with the Earthen, who she used to trade with. Tell her that you can contact Trading Post representatives of your people to secure trade routes with potential partners.
After talking with Aurelia Steelstrike, inspect the nearby table behind her. Interact with the shining piece of paper there to start writing a Letter of Recommendation. Your choices here are purely for flavor, so pick whatever you wish as you write the letter.
When you’ve finished the Letter of Recommendation, talk to Aurelia Steelstrike again to deliver the letter and turn in the quest!
Now, you’ll be able to do the entire “Striking Steel” questline by completing more missions for Aurelia Steelstrike. She’ll remain at her post in Mereldar, so just talk to her whenever you wish to take on one of these quests. These are all the quests that are part of this questline:
A Batty Request
Does Anyone Like Wasps?
Regular Fiber
Underground Economics
Spice Up Your Life
A Home Cooked Meal
Eagle Eye, Eagle Die
Full Dress
Cooking With Style
