WoW War Within – Dalaran Sewer Turtle Puzzle Guide

Dalaran Sewer Turtle is an NPC that is found in WoW – The War Within. You will find the turtle trying to save a rat and he thinks that fish can make the rat recover faster. What fish, you ask? Well, that is the puzzle that needs solving.

Since the turtle can not go out and fish, you will need to step in and become the hero for the day. You will be rewarded at the end for your efforts so it is a win-win situation for both you and the turtle. Without wasting any time, let’s begin!

Guide on Dalaran Sewer Turtle Puzzle in The War Within

Before you can get started, you need to acquire Khaz Algar Fishing. If you already have this then skip this part. But if not, then make your way to the Fishing Trainer called Drokar located in Dornogal and buy it from him. I have marked his exact location in the image below.

Catch Fish for the Turtle

The turtle first needs 5 Dornish Pike and then a single Goldengill Trout. You can find both types of fishes in the sea near Dornogal.

Dornish Pike

Dornish Pike is found in Calm Surfacing Ripples in the area marked below. The coordinates are 34.54 62.47.

Look for the ripple in the water and cast your fishing rod there. You need to get 5 Dornish Pike.

Goldengill Trout

You can get a Goldengill Trout from the Glimmerpool. It is marked in the image below. The coordinates for it are 40.29 63.82.

Once again, look for the ripple in the water and fish there.

Give the Fish to the Turtle

Once you have caught 5 Dornish Pike and 1 Goldengill Trout, head to the Freywold Village located on the Isle of Dorn. You will find the Dalaran Sewer Turtle at the base of a large tree. The exact coordinates are 40.90 73.79.

Interact with the turtle and give it the 5 Dornish Pike you caught. After that, wait for some time (about 20 minutes) and then interact with it again and this time, give it the Goldengill Trout.

Get Your Rewards

After giving fish to the turtle, he will set out on a journey to find the rest of his family. You will find him in Stoneshaper’s Atrium which is located in Dornogal. The exact coordinates are 58.21 30.26.

Once you get there, you will find the rat fully recovered and the Dalaran Sewer Turtle with his family. Interact with Dalaran Sewer Turtle and a bag will appear on the ground. Open the bag to get Council of Dornogal Commendation and a Sewer Turtle Whistle.
