The Rampage at Nibelgaz questline in World of Warcraft War Within has several different quests that you will need to complete to progress the story in Nibelgaz Mine. Like a lot of other questlines in this game, you will need to interact with many different NPCs and perform a variety of tasks for them.
With so many different quests to complete, it can be pretty hard to keep track of all of them. Additionally, some of the quests in the Rampage at Nibelgaz questline are also pretty tricky and difficult at the same time. To help you through the Nibelgaz Mine area, we will be looking at a complete walkthrough of each quest inside the Rampage at Nibelgaz questline. So without further ado, let’s get into it.
Rampage at Nibelgaz Mine Guide
If you haven’t found the Nibelgaz Mine area, the map above shows where the mine is. The Nibelgaz Mine can be found within the Ringing Deeps area in the War Within expansion.
There are a total of 7 different quests that you will need to complete for this questline. The quests are:
The Nibelgaz Refinery
Rampage in the Refinery
Muddled Mind in the Mine
Spinning Spore Spines
To the Source
Raging Rifts
The Glittering Shard
Our guide will be looking at which NPC you need to interact with to start the quest. Additionally, we will also be looking at what you need to do to complete these quests.
Alongside these quests, there are a ton of other quests in WoW’s latest expansion. If you haven’t already, make sure you check out our guide on The Forging of Memories quest.
The Nibelgaz Refinery
The first quest that you need to complete will be “The Nibelgaz Refinery” quest. To start this quest, you will need to interact with Orsenth.
Your objective for this quest will be to find and rescue 6 Refinery Workers. When it comes to difficulty, this is one of the easier quests you will get here, as you can complete this quest without having to kill any enemy. Your only objective is to rescue the Refinery Workers, and you can complete the quest while ignoring the enemies in the mine.
When tracking the quest, the game will provide you with markers on your minimap showing you where the Refinery Workers are. Once you get to a Refinery Worker, you can rescue them by clicking on them. It takes just over 2 seconds to rescue a worker after you click on them.
After rescuing all 6 workers, make your way back to Orsenth to finish the quest and claim your reward. Completing this quest will earn you 23 Gold Coins, 40 Silver Coins, and 8950 XP.
Rampage in The Refinery
The second quest that you will get in the mines will be the “Rampage in the Refinery” quest. You can start this quest through Ferdagor.
In order to complete this quest, you will need to find and kill 10 Rampaging Elementals. The area you need to kill these Elementals in is the same area you rescued the Refinery Workers from. So you pretty much need to kill the Elementals you could’ve avoided in the first quest.
The image above shows what a Rampaging Elemental looks like. You will also be able to see the name of the Elemental above it, helping you identify which ones you need to kill. While this quest is a bit harder than the first one, it is still pretty simple as the Elementals that you need to kill are pretty easy to take down. They might trouble you a bit if you take on around 3-4 at a time. Try to limit your engagements to 1-2 Rampaging Elementals.
Once you’ve completed the quest, make your way back to Ferdagor to claim your rewards. The rewards for this quest are the exact same as the previous one. You will get 23 Gold Coins, 40 Silver Coins, and 8950 XP.
Muddled Mind in The Mine
After completing the previous quest, the next quest that you will need to do is “Muddled Mind in the Mine”. This is probably the easiest quest so far, as all you need to do is look for an NPC inside the mines. Like the first quest, you can start this quest through Orsenth.
The NPC that you need to find for this quest is named Munderut. While the quest description does say that you need to find Muderut, the game provides you with a marker indicating the exact location he isat. So you don’t actually have to find Munderut, as you can complete this quest by simply following the indicator provided by the game.
Once you get to Munderut, interact with him to complete the quest and claim your rewards. This quest has worse rewards than the previous 2 quests, but it is also much shorter than the last 2. Completing this quest will earn you 11 Gold Coins, 70 Silver Coins, and 4450 XP.
Spinning Spore Spines
The next quest that you need to complete is called “Spinning Spore Spines”, and you can start this quest through Munderut after you find him.
Your objective for this quest will be to collect 150 Spinning Spores. You can get Spinning Spores through Underground Spores scattered throughout Nibelgaz Mine. 150 might seem like a pretty big number, but it’s important to note that each spore that you kill will drop much more than 1 Spinning Spore. The Spinning Spores that they drop will be around 10-20, and how many you get will be completely random.
The Underground Spores that you need to kill will not be hostile when you approach them but will become hostile after you attack them. So keep that in mind when doing this quest. After collecting 150 Spinning Spores, make your way back to Munderut to give him the spores you just collected and to claim your reward. Completing this quest will earn you 23 Gold, 40 Silver Coins, and 8950 XP.
To The Source
The “To The Source” quest can be started through another different NPC called Keldaz. Like the “Muddled Mind in The Mine” quest, your objective for this quest will be to get to a certain location and interact with the NPC over there. The NPC that you need to get to for this quest will be Keldaz himself. After you accept the “To The Source” quest, you will need to meet Keldaz outside the northeastern mine entrance.
You will be provided with a marker indicating where Keldaz can be found for this quest. Completing this quest will earn you 5 Gold Coins, 85 Silver Coins, and 2250 XP.
Raging Rifts
After claiming your rewards for completing the “To The Source” quest, interact with Keldaz in front of the northeastern mine to start the “Raging Rifts” quest. There are 3 different objectives that you will need to do to complete this quest.
The first objective that you will to do is enter the northeastern cave. This is the simplest objective here, as you can complete it by simply going inside the cave through its entrance.
After entering the cave, the next thing that you will need to do is destroy 4 Elemental Rifts. Elemental Rifts are blue energy sources that can be found all throughout the northeastern cave. The image above shows what an Elemental Rift looks like. You can destroy an Elemental Rift by attacking it with your abilities and attacks.
Besides destroying the Elemental Rifts, you will also need to destroy the Rift Source. The Rift Source is the Elemental enemy called Urthgraft Riftcaller. This Elemental can be found inside the northeastern cave.
After completing all of the objectives, make your way back to Keldaz to claim your rewards for completing the quest. Completing this quest will get 46 Gold Coins, 80 Silver Coins, and 11150 XP. Alongside those rewards though, you will also get the “Band of Elemental Chaos” and “Assembly of the Deeps”.
The Glittering Shard
During the Raging Rifts quest, you were required to kill the Urthgraft Riftcaller to destroy the Rift Source. Well after you slay that elemental, you can loot its remains to get the Glittering Shard item. Getting that item will automatically start “The Glittering Shard” quest.
To complete this final quest, you will need to deliver the Glittering Shard item to Orsenth. The game will provide you with Orsenth’s exact location, so just follow the indicators to get to her. Completing “The Glittering Shard” quest will reward you with 11 Gold Coins, 70 Silver Coins, and 4450 XP.
So there you have it, a complete Rampage at Nigelbaz Mine questline guide. WoW War Within is filled with new and exciting content, giving you tons more to explore.
