AndrésBrant Street Construction Site is one of the new areas you visit during Chapter 2 in ZZZ (Zenless Zone Zero), and it’s home to a new set of Officer Mewmew’s Challenges.
Just like in every other hub area, Officer Mewmew gives you a set of tasks. Complete them and he’ll give you some sweet rewards, such as Polychromes and various upgrade materials. Doing a good deed is nice, but we have to admit it’s even nicer when there’s a tangible reward for it…
Anyway, in this guide we’ll tell you how to complete all 16 of Mewmew’s Challenges for the Brant Street Construction Site area!
ALL Mewmew’s Challenges and Medals In Brant Street Construction Site
Before we start going down the list of challenges one by one, we should first give you some general pointers:
- If an NPC you need for a challenge is missing, try leaving and reentering the area to force it to reload.
- There can’t be multiple NPCs in the same spot. Some NPCs might prevent others from appearing. Complete the quests and events for the NPCs that are available first so that the others can appear.
- The exact unlock timing for some events and commissions is still somewhat unclear, sadly. If an event is still unavailable for you, keep progressing through the story and leveling up your Inter-Knot Account.
- You might also need to complete certain challenges before later ones can unlock. Look for ones that say you need to complete “Part 1” of a commission and do those first.
- Check Mewmew’s notes. If it says Officer Mewmew is still investigating, you still need to progress more to unlock the respective challenges and medals
- Bangboo rewiring puzzles for the Timely Assistance challenges vary between players. These appear to be some randomization based on the order in which you do the challenges. As such, we can’t provide exact directions to solving these puzzles. Nonetheless, they should be pretty simple to solve.
Now that you know all that key information, it’s time to start completing all of Mewmew’s Challenges for the Brant Street Construction Site area!
Keen Senses Medal
Similar to the Keen Senses Medal for other areas, you simply need to find all of the missing Mini Cargo Trucks within the Brant Street Construction Site. There are only 4 of them and they’re all in the base level, so they’re extremely easy to find this time around.
You can find the first one on the edge of the area opposite where your Proxy parks their car, near the yellow container with the transformers.
The second is in the center of the construction site, next to a forklift between two of the elevators.
For the third one, look for an elevated area next to a couple of bathroom stalls. The Mini Cargo Truck is in the corner next to the truck there.
For the last one, go up the ramp near the previous Mini Cargo Truck to spot a couple of containers that got turned into makeshift food stalls. The Mini Cargo Truck is near the back wall, between the containers.
Open all of these up and you’re done with this medal!
Kind Helper Medal I
You can get this medal once you complete the “Cement Mixer Modification Manual” commission. As usual with Mewmew’s Challenges, not all of them are as simple as just collecting things, and that’s no exception in the Brant Street Construction Site!
To start this commission, speak to Kousaka in the Morning or Afternoon after you’ve completed the main story in Chapter 2. He will be standing right in front of the Proxies’ car. He’ll tell you to ask a Thiren constructor called Li for logic cores to enhance the cement mixer.
You can find Li opposite of where Kousaka is, near the ramps leading to the eatery. Simply speak with him and then return to Kousaka to deliver Li’s message, completing the commission and earning this medal!
Kind Helper Medal II
For this one, you need to complete the “Hands and the Art of Cement Mixer Maintenance” commission. It becomes available once you’ve completed the “Cement Mixer Modification Manual” commission. It also requires you to pass some in-game time before it unlocks.
However, you can’t miss it once it unlocks because Kousaka will message you directly. He’ll tell you that they put a discarded logic core into the cement mixer, causing more harm than good.
Head over to Brant Street Construction Site as soon and talk to Kousaka at the same spot as before. He’ll explain the situation and ask you to help him out.
Interact with the cement mixer next to Kousaka to start a short dialogue sequence. No matter what you do, you’ll be unable to get the cement mixer to stop installing its new logic core.
Now, speak with Grace, the only person here capable of fixing technical problems. She’ll agree to help you out, as long as you get her a photo of a mechanical arm to inspire her.
To get the photo, head to the Remodeling Shop back on Sixth Street and you should see Enzo standing right outside. Speak with him and he’ll agree to let you take his picture, so bring out your in-game camera and snap his photo.
Head back to Brant Street Construction Site once again and show Grace the photo you took of Enzo. She’ll then tell you that you just have to say “Calm down, little one” to the cement mixer.
Walk up to the cement mixer and interact with it, then choose “calm down, little one” once the prompt appears. Just like Grace said, this stopped the logic core’s setup process. Now you just need to talk to Kousaka again and tell him that everything’s back to normal!
Kind Helper Medal III
This is another commission-based medal, this time requiring you to complete the “Almighty Safety Helmet” commission. To start this one, speak to a Thiren called Ironhead at the construction site. He’ll be in the back, near some white pipes.
Ironhead will comment on the fact that you don’t have a safety helmet on and tell you to go find one. He tells you to ask one of the human employees since the Thirens are unlikely to have any helmets fit for you.
Now, there are about four potential NPCs you can talk to for this. They’re all in front of the Proxies’ car, opposite of where Ironhead is. The outcome will be the same no matter which one you talk with, either. Ultimately, they won’t let you borrow a safety helmet!
Once you fail to get a safety helmet from the workers, return to Ironhead and tell him how things went down. He’ll promise to make you a helmet yourself eventually, completing the commission and unlocking the medal!
Kind Helper Medal IV
This medal requires you to complete the “Bro-to-Bro Communication” commission. It becomes available only once you reach at least Level 33 for your Inter-Knot Account. You’ll also need to reach the Chapter 2 Intermission in the main story.
Once you’ve met the requirements, go to Brant Street Construction Site and you’ll see Anton, everyone’s real bro. Talk to him and he’ll simply ask you to take a photo of a cool car.
The specific car that works for this commission is one near one of Sixth Street’s exits. Go behind the 141 Convenience Store and you should see a white sports car parked near the street. Simply take out the camera and get a photo of it.
After that, you should receive a message from Anton telling you about how cool the car is. If you don’t get the message to trigger, try going back to Brant Street Construction Site. Either way, the commission should complete at this point, unlocking the medal!
Kind Helper Medal V
The last one on our list of commission-based Mewmew’s Challenges for Brant Street Construction Site in ZZZ! This one requires you to complete the “The Missing Drivers” commission.
You have to look for a Thiren worker called Foreman Thomas at the construction site. He’s easy to see from where Officer Mewmew is. He’ll tell you that there are two missing drivers and he’s worried about them. He then tells you to ask around and see if any other workers have spotted the missing duo.
The first person you can ask is Kaidou, a human man talking with a pair of Thirens near where Thomas is.
The second is a Builderboo next to an elevator in the central area.
The third and final one is Kaede, a lady worker on the opposite side of the elevator where the Builderboo is. After talking to all three, return to Foreman Thomas to report your findings.
More confused than before, you overhear that another driver named Ricky is complaining about something and decide to ask him. He’s by the truck near the food area. Ricky will complain that the two bathroom stalls in front of him have been occupied for a long time already.
Using that as a clue, inspect the bathroom stalls yourself to overhear the “missing” drivers. Turns out they’re just hiding in the stalls playing games on their phones! Report this to Foreman Thomas to complete the commission and earn the last Kind Helper Medal for the Brant Street Construction Site.
Chivalrous Spirit Medal I
It’s time to start helping out the Bangboo in the area. They’re always a key part of Mewmew’s Challenges in ZZZ, so it’s time to go find all of them in the Brant Street Construction Site.
For this first one, you need to find the Broboo. He’s sitting on some crates next to the elevator that’s opposite where Officer Mewmew is located in the construction site. Speak with Broboo to complete the challenge!
Chivalrous Spirit Medal II
While it’s still Morning, go up to the elevated food area at the construction site. You should see a spot with yellow floor and a bunch of crates piled up. You’ll find the Challenger Bangboo there! Just complete the conversation with him to earn the medal.
Chivalrous Spirit Medal III
For this one, go to the Brant Street Construction Site during the Evening. Go straight ahead from where your Proxy parks their car to find a hole where some workers are.
Turn to your right as you go down the slope into the hole to spot the Catloverboo talking with a cat. Watch the strange conversation unfold to earn your well-deserved medal!
Chivalrous Spirit Medal IV
The last Chivalrous Spirit Medal for Mewmew’s Brant Street Construction Site Challenges in ZZZ requires you to visit the area at Midnight. Check the area in front of the Proxy’s car to find the Survivalistboo by the cement mixer, overlooking the hole where you found the Catloverboo.
Talk to the Survivalistboo and offer to give him a bottle cap. Then, listen to him describe his very frugal lifestyle. The medal will unlock as soon as he finishes talking!
Timely Assistance Medal I
Time to start rewiring Bangboo circuits for Mewmew’s Challenges! There 4 Bangboo in need of fixing in the Brant Street Construction Site in ZZZ and this is the first one.
Head over to the elevated area with the food stall containers in the Morning to find a broken down Complaint Bangboo. Fix its circuits and you’ll learn why it earned that terrible nickname! Well, at least you got a medal out of it.
Timely Assistance Medal II
To find this one, go to where Officer Mewmew is in the Brant Street Construction Site in the Afternoon. While facing Officer Mewmew, turn to your left to find an elevator with the broken-down Safety Bangboo next to it. Repair its circuits as always and you’ll earn yourself another medal!
Timely Assistance Medal III
For this one, you need to check out the area with the transformers directly in front of where the Proxy’s car is parked. You should find a broken Alphaboo overlooking the hole there during the Evening. Rewire its circuits to fix it and you’ll earn your medal!
Timely Assistance Medal IV
The easiest way to find this one is to teleport to the Storage Area in Brant Street Construction Site at Midnight. As soon as you load into the map, turn around and you’ll find a broken-down Hollerboo next to a building. Repair it as usual and you’ll have completed the last of the Mewmew’s Challenges involving Bangboo in this area!
Silver Talent Seeker and Gold Talent Seeker Medals
Just like in every other region, the Silver Talent Seeker and Golden Talent Seeker medals are obtained by finding HIA Commemorative Medals. You’ll need 5 of them to get the Silver Talent Seeker Medal and all 10 to get the Gold Talent Seeker Medal. As always, it’s a great idea to collect all of them since the Sage in a Barrel will reward you handsomely for them!
Now, let’s go over where to find each one of these coins.
Becky by the Transformers
There’s a yellow container with some electrical transformers opposite where your Proxies park their car. Go there and you should spot a lady worker named Becky in the Morning. Simply exhaust her dialogue and you should get your first HIA Commemorative Coin for this area!
Luka by the Transformers
In the same area where you find Becky, you should also see a male worker called Luka in the Morning. Just like with Becky, you simply need to finish the dialogue to get another HIA Commemorative Coin. Aren’t these workers nice?
Kaede’s Worries
For this one, you should teleport next to Officer Mewmew at the Brant Street Construction Site in the Morning. Check the elevator closest to him and you should spot a lady worker called Kaede. Speak with her and she’ll say she’s worried about the Hollows and wonders how Cole remains so cool.
After the conversation, turn around from where Kaede is to face the entrance to the area. You should spot a blonde man by the entrance, which is the Cole that Kaede was talking about. Ask him how he remains calm while going into the Hollow. Then, just tell Kaede what Cole told you and she’ll reward you with a HIA Commemorative Coin!
Ronnie Wants Kousaka’s Photo
You can get this coin in the Morning by speaking with a lady worker called Ronnie. She’s near the hole in front of the Proxies’ car. She’ll talk about some work drama related to Kousaka, then ask you to get a photo of Kousaka.
At this point, you can find Kousaka near the electric transformers where you met Becky and Luka before. Just tell him about the photo and he’ll say he basically doesn’t care.
So, take out your camera and snap the photo. Return to Ronnie and she’ll thank you, giving you a HIA Commemorative Coin as a reward!
Ironhead’s Cement Bags
You can get this coin in the Afternoon. Teleport to where Officer Mewmew is and look for the elevator diagonally opposite of him. You should see Ironhead, one of the Thirens, saying there’s something suspicious about some cement bags.
After you talk with Ironhead, inspect the cement bags directly in front of him and recover the coins. Talk to Ironhead again and explain the situation to get your well-deserved HIA Commemorative Coin!
This is the halfway point if you’ve followed this guide in order. You should now have visited 5 of the HIA Commemorative Coin locations in Brant Street Construction Site, which is enough for the Silver Talent Seeker Medal from Mewmew’s Challenges… but this is ZZZ and we want to get all the resources we can, right? There’s still 5 more coins to find!
Gray’s Creative Percussion
In the Afternoon, go near the elevated area with the food stall containers. You should see a big orange truck there with a Thiren standing in front of it. Speak to the Thiren, whose name is Gray, to learn about how he uses construction materials for percussion. He’ll give you a HIA Commemorative Coin so you can get started with your own drumming, too!
Kaidou’s Food Dilemma
In the Afternoon, go up to the elevated area where the food stall containers are. You should see a man with a blue shirt called Kaidou. Speak with him and he’ll mention that he accidentally dropped a coin into Pepper’s meal and is worried this is going to result in him getting fired or something.
After hearing Kaidou’s dramatic explanation, turn around and look for a Thiren sitting down by the slope. This is Pepper, so just talk with him and he’ll be celebrating the fact that he got a lucky meal due to the coin. Finish Pepper’s dialogue the return to Kaidou, who will give you the HIA Commemorative Coin!
Jen and Kaishu
At Night, teleport to where Officer Mewmew is in the Brant Street Construction Site. Go toward the hole in front of where the Proxy’s car is parked and you should see a woman worker in blue overalls called Jen. Talk to her and she’ll mention that another worker’s old house was demolished. She asks you to tell the man, called Kaishu, about it.
Face the same direction Jen is facing and you should spot Kaishu. He’s a man in a white shirt next to a blue container, right behind the Proxy’s car. Tell him about what Jen told you and then complete his dialogue to get the HIA Commemorative Coin.
Li’s Cement Bags
At Night, teleport to where Officer Mewmew is and check the area by the elevator diagonally opposite of him. If you’ve followed our guide in order, this is exactly the same spot as where you found Ironhead with his cement bags earlier. The only difference is that this time you will find Li there instead!
Li will be worried he broke something while working near the cement bags and asks you to check. Just like with Ironhead before him, inspect the cement bags in front of Li. Then speak to Li one last time to get the HIA Commemorative Coin!
The Sulking Builderboo
Our last HIA Commemorative Coin in this locations list for Brant Street Construction Site in ZZZ. To get this one, go to the white pipes at the back of the area at Night. The easiest way to reach them is to just teleport to the Storage Area and turn around. You should see a human worker there called Yang.
Yang will explain that his Builderboo had an altercation with a cat. This resulted in the Builderboo feeling useless and locking itself inside of the pipes. Just speak with the Sulking Builderboo and reassure it that it’s not useless. It seems all choices work equally well here, so your picks in dialogue don’t matter much.
Once the Builderboo comes out, talk with it to get the final HIA Commemorative Coin in the area as your reward. Remember to return to the Sage in a Barrel in Sixth Street to turn them in for useful resources and rewards!
At long last, you should be done with all of Mewmew’s Challenges for the Brant Street Construction Site in ZZZ. If you haven’t yet, though, it’s a good idea to complete Page 1 of his Sixth Street challenges as well!
