The HIA Commemorative Coin is a rare collectible you can pick up at all hub locations in ZZZ (Zenless Zone Zero), with Sixth Street alone having 18 of these coins for you to find.
For context, you meet the Sage in a Barrel pretty early on in the story. This fella lives in a trash can and loves collecting HIA Commemorative Coins for some reason! He loves them so much he’s willing to trade his goods for them. Get all these rare coins and you’ll get rare upgrade resources in return. It’s a pretty solid deal!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get all 18 HIA Commemorative Coins in the Sixth Street area.
ALL 18 HIA Commemorative Coin Locations in Sixth Street
Before we go over all 18 HIA Commemorative Coin locations in Sixth Street, we have some pointers that should help you as you hunt these coins down in ZZZ:
HIA Commemorative Coins and NPCs related to them can be finicky to spawn. Try leaving and re-entering areas if you’re having issues with missing spawns.
HIA Commemorative Coins are time-sensitive. Make sure that you check their spots at the in-game times we mention.
Click on the time of day in the top left corner to see the current time. If there’s a message saying the Sage in a Barrel is looking for a coin, that means there’s a coin you can pick up somewhere.
NPCs who give you HIA Commemorative Coins can be recognized by the grey speech bubbles above them.
There can’t be multiple NPCs in the same spot. Some NPCs might prevent others from appearing. Complete the quests and events for the NPCs that are available first so that the others can appear.
The exact unlock timing for some events and commissions is still somewhat unclear, sadly. If an event is still unavailable for you, keep progressing through the story and leveling up your Inter-Knot Account.
Interactable items with HIA Commemorative Coins have a sparkling effect on them.
With all of these basics and tips, it’s now time to dive into every location!
Elis at the Noodle Shop
This should be the first HIA Commemorative Coin you get. It’s introduced to you as part of the game’s main story during Chapter 1 Intermission. Simply speak with Elis at the Noodle Shop on Sixth Street to get the coin from him!
Sjal at Random Play
This one should be another early one for you. Just talk to Sjal in front of RandomPlay during the Morning. You can recognize her by her overalls and purple pigtails. Complete her dialogue and she’ll give you the coin!
Coff Café’s Fragrant Plant
You can get this HIA Commemorative Coin during the Morning. Simply check the sparkling Fragrant Plant outside of Coff Café to pick it up.
Helping Mrs. Yani
This is the first of the more involved HIA Commemorative Coin locations on Sixth Street, though it’s still pretty simplistic by ZZZ standards. To begin, talk to Mrs. Yani in the Morning. She’s near the Sixth Street exit in front of Random Play.
The old lady, Mrs. Yani, seems to have picked up a HIA Commemorative Coin and can’t figure out what to do with it. To help her, go talk with the “Give Change” Bangboo in front of 141 Convenience Store.
After exhausting his dialogue, go back to Mrs. Yani and she’ll end up giving you the HIA Commemorative Coin after talking for a bit!
Luo and Phil
For this one, you need to listen to Luo and Phil in front of the Remodeling Shop during the Morning. They’ll say something about dropping a seemingly useless coin in a crate nearby.
After overhearing their conversation, just go up the Remodeling Shop’s stairs and interact with the Empty Crate!
During the Afternoon, you should spot a man with a blue shirt right outside of Random Play. Simply talk with him and exhaust his dialogue to get a HIA Commemorative Coin from him.
Lupita at 141 Convenience Store
In the Afternoon, go to the payphone in front of the 141 Convenience Store on Sixth Street. You should see a girl in a dress with short ponytails. Talk with her and complete the dialogue to get a HIA Commemorative Coin from her.
Photographing Clara
For this one, you have to go near the Sixth Street exit by Random Play in the Afternoon. If you’ve been following along with this guide, it’s the same spot as when we previously met Mrs. Yani. You should see a pink-haired girl on her phone called Clara.
Talk with her and she’ll ask you to take a photo of her. So, pull out your in-game camera and get a nice candid shot of Clara then talk to her again. She’ll thank you and give you a HIA Commemorative Coin as a reward!
Pavol Chuck & Clara
In the Afternoon, go near the Sage in a Barrel and you should see a man talking with the pink-haired girl from the previous coin, Pavol Chuck and Clara. Listen in on their conversation and they’ll end up asking you to try acting out a scene for them.
All you have to do is approach the Sage in a Barrel and talk with him, then talk to Pavol Chuck and Clara again to get your HIA Commemorative Coin as a reward!
Bardic Needle’s Packing Crate
While it’s Afternoon, check out the yellow Packing Crate in front of the Bardic Needle shop. It’s across from your own Random Play store, so you can’t miss it! It’s one of the easiest HIA Commemorative Coin locations for Sixth Street in ZZZ.
Coff Café’s Mr Panda
Go to Coff Café in the Afternoon and check the Mr. Panda doll by the shop’s entrance. Interact with it to pick up the HIA Commemorative Coin.
Random Play’s Staff Locker
This is probably the trickiest of all the 18 HIA Commemorative Locations for Sixth Street in ZZZ, mainly because it’s not really within Sixth Street itself. It’s actually inside the staff room of Random Play, where you access the HDD for commissions!
Just check the locker in front of the Workbench during the Evening to grab this sneaky coin.
Jonah at Godfinger Arcade
During the Evening, you should find a male student named Jonah outside of the Godfinger Arcade. Talk with him and complete his dialogue to get the HIA Commemorative Coin from him.
Hannah at 141 Convenience Store
While it’s Evening, go to the 141 Convenience Store on Sixth Street and look for a woman with long hair and a black dress. Talk to her and she’ll complain that the vending machine on the parking lot to the left of the store is broken.
Go interact with the vending machine to trigger a “dialogue” which will result in you fixing the machine. Then, return to Hannah in front of the convenience store and tell her your results with the vending machine. She’ll reward you with a HIA Commemorative Coin!
Roy at 141 Convenience Store
This one is similar to the previous one. You once again have to go to the 141 Convenience Store in the Evening and look for a male student with a red ponytail called Roy. Complete his dialogue by telling him that you will pay 300 Dennies for his HIA Commemorative Coin and you’re all done!
Dumpster by Officer Mewmew
Remember Officer Mewmew? Go visit him behind Howl’s Newsstand during the Evening and you should see that that the dumpster next to him is sparkling. Simply interact with the dumpster to get the HIA Commemorative Coin.
At Midnight, visit the Sixth Street exit near Random Play. You should see a Public Security officer called Gerant right in front of the Remodeling Building. Talk to him and you’ll learn that he’s on patrol with another officer, a woman called Sita, but he’s too afraid to move.
Leave Gerant and go speak with Sita behind Howl’s Newsstand. She’ll give you some coins, asking you to tell Gerant that they’re protective amulets to see if that helps him overcome his fears.
Return to Gerant one last time and give him the “amulets” Sita gave you. He’ll overcome his fears and thank you by giving you one of the “amulets”, which is just an HIA Commemorative Coin!
Box Galaxy’s Skateboard Bench
At long last, we’re almost done with all of the 18 HIA Commemorative Coin locations for Sixth Street in ZZZ! It’s an easy one to get, too. Go to the Box Galaxy Gadget Shop at Midnight and check the Skateboard Bench near the Bangboo statue. You’ll pick up the HIA Commemorative Coin as soon as you interact with it!
Now, that’s all of the HIA Commemorative Coins you can get from Sixth Street. Make sure to return to the Sage in a Barrel to trade these coins in for some sweet rewards.
