A-Rank characters in Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 might not be quite as strong as S-Ranks, but it’s still good to put them all in a tier list to figure out who’s best.
Taking all of their potential synergies into account and whatnot, the A-Rank Agents have a surprising variety of strengths and weaknesses. Some of them are truly fantastic and great for every team while others… well, aren’t quite good at all.
Read on and we’ll give you our tier list ranking all the A-Rank Agents in Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 from best to worst.
Best A-Rank Characters Tier List | All A-Rank Agents From Best to Worst
Top Tier
Nicole – Considering that you get her for free and she’s the only Ether Supportcombination currently, Nicole is at the top due to filling a unique niche well.
She excels when equipped with the Chaotic Metal 4 Drive Set in particular, as it allows her to lower the defenses of enemies with Corruption regardless of what her team is. Plus, she can group up enemies to let her allies blast them with Area of Effect attacks!
High Tier
Soukaku – A solid Ice Support choice, the main reason she’s so good currently is due to her pairings. More specifically, Soukaku is amazing when paired together with Ellen Joe, who’s considered the best character in the game as of this writing.
She can also reduce enemies’ Ice RES, further enhancing Ellen’s damage when paired with her.
Ben Bigger – Similar to Nicole, Ben Bigger is currently a great choice thanks to filling a unique niche well. He’s the only Defense Agent in the game, meaning he has the best survivability of anyone in the entire roster.
Considering there are no healers yet either, that makes him a must-have when tackling harder content. Of course, you could always try to just dodge everything… but that’s easier said than done!
Medium Tier
Anby – As an Electric Stun Agent, Anby has a lot of versatility and potential. There are a lot of Electric Agents you can pair her up with, and she’s also one of the few Stun specialists.
What’s more, you get Anby for free when starting out the game. That means that, unless you get extremely lucky in the Gacha, Anby will be your sole Stun for a while. Considering how important Stun is in Zenless Zone Zero, that makes her a great choice for your party.
Anton Ivanov – We were just talking about Anby, right? Well, here’s a good Agent to pair her with. Anton is a strong Electric Attack Agent who’s pretty easy to build around. You get Anby for free, after all, so you can pair Anton with her if you happen to pull him.
That said, he’s nothing too special so he might get phased out by stronger Agents later on. But, to be fair, it’s still too early to tell!
Low Tier
Billy – Considering how he’s been front-and-center in most of the marketing, it’s surprising to see Billy do this poorly. He’s basically outshined by the S-Rank Nekomata, who fits his same Physical Attack role and is also a member of the Cunning Hares.
However, combining Billy with Nekomata can provide surprising results if you focus on triggering the Assault Anomaly. Nonetheless, Billy is just an inferior Nekomata for most players.
Corin – We feel a bit bad for poor little Corin, she was dealt a terrible hand. There’s no doubt that she’s currently the weakest Agent in the game. There are much better Physical Attack choices already. What’s more, the other members of the Victoria Housekeeping faction don’t synergize well with her.
She can do alright in pure Physical teams, but you’ll mostly use her just because you like her character. Plus, she’s a freebie during launch, too!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
