Zenless Zone Zero is a Gacha game, so you might be wondering if you should try to reroll or not.

After all, not everyone likes to play with whatever they get from their first Gacha pulls. Some people prefer to keep restarting the game until they can get a unit they want, be it a personal favorite or a really strong one. But the process is always different for each game!

In this article, we’ll take a look at how rerolling works in Zenless Zone Zero and tell you whether you should bother with it or not.

Zenless Zone Zero | Should You Reroll?

We’ve already covered this previously in our article about mistakes to avoid. That should tell you our answer already: no, you should not reroll. Simply because it’s an extremely time-consuming process currently, making it not worth the time or effort it takes.

To break it down further, it takes around 40 minutes for you to unlock the Gacha in Zenless Zone Zero. Up until that point, you will be going through unskippable cutscenes and slow gameplay tutorials. Sure, there are a few comic-book-styled segments you can skip. But, for the most part, you can’t skip a large part of the prologue, making the process a slog.

That said, a skip feature is planned to be added. Whether it will be there at the 1.0 release or not is still up in the air, though, but it would definitely shorten the reroll process substantially. However, there’s a much bigger issue than skipping cutscenes: you can’t use guest accounts in HoYoverse’s games.

That means that you’ll need to create a new account every single time you wish to reroll. It also means that you’ll be unable to have all of your HoYoverse games, such as Honkai: Star Rail, in a single account. While this might not be a true dealbreaker for everyone, it adds up even more time to the 40-minute estimate we mentioned already.

Additionally, you would only get 20 Master Tapes for rerolling at that point. That means you get 20 pulls from the standard permanent banner, which isn’t enough to reach pity. If you’re shooting for a specific S-Rank Agent, you only have a 0.6% of getting a random one per roll.

The odds simply aren’t in your favor without being able to reach pity. But to know more about the odds, check out our article covering the game’s Gacha system.

Ultimately, we advise against trying to reroll in Zenless Zone Zero. It’s an annoyingly time-consuming process and rather unrewarding. But well, that’s just our recommendation! If you still plan to reroll, at least now you know what you’re getting into.

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
