It is required for the Weather Monitor System, this rare component is only dropped by “Comet” ARC units which are volatile machines that drop from orbit and have a nasty habit of self-destructing before you can salvage them.
I will show you how to defeat those sneaky Comets and where they spawn in this guide. Let’s get started!
ARC Raiders: Where to Find Comet Igniter Location Guide
Comet Igniter is dropped by Comets when you successfully defeat them. They can spawn in various locations and the best way to get them is in the Hurricane weather. You will have to deal with decreased visibility and make sure to unequip your armor as it will take damage over time. Below are the locations where you can find Comets spawn:
Dam Battlegrounds
There are three locations in Dam Battlegrounds where I saw Comets spawn which are mentioned below.

The area near the Hydroponic Dome Complex.

The area between the Flood Gates and the Primary Facility as marked in the image below.

The last area is near the Generator Hall of the Power Generation Complex.
Spaceport
There are three locations in Spaceport as well where I saw a couple of Comets strolling around. They are as follow:

Inside the Staff Parking area.
Location #2
I was able to find multiple Comets in the Rocket Assembly building.
Location #3
You can also find Comets spawn near the Launch Towers.
The Blue Gate
If you still haven’t found any Comets then you can also find them in The Blue Gate near the Headhouse and Warehouse Complex. I have marked the area in which they spawn in the image below.
How to Easily Defeat Comets to get Comet Igniter
If a Comet gets too close to you and explodes, it will not drop Comet Ignitor. To make it drop Comet Ignitor, you need to destroy it before it can explode. The best way to do that is by using a Wolfpack as it will completely take care of the Comet. Or you can use a Showstopper to stun it and then destroy it with your gun. Once destroyed, it will be split into two parts, one of which will contain the Comet Igniter.

There you go, now you know where Comets spawn and how to take them down without letting them blow themselves up in your face. It’s definitely not the most relaxing farm in the game, especially when you’re running around in a hurricane with no armor on, but at least you’re not wandering aimlessly anymore.
