They are hidden collectibles that you have to scour in every location you come across. One particular area which has these collectibles is the destroyed Rift Town.

All Destroyed Rift Town Journal Entries Locations in Outriders Worldslayer
There’s a total of 3 journal entries scattered all throughout the destroyed Rift town. Let’s have a look at each of their respective locations:
Journal #1: Eca Report on Defeating Hounds
You can find this journal entry in the northwest region of the area. look for a tunnel directly in front of the large blue truck. Here, you’ll find two people standing close to a bonfire made of a barrel. The entry is just right next to that barrel on the ground.

You will need to visit Rift Town twice in order for this journal entry to appear. Upon your second visit, open your map and head over to the Perimeter Wall area. There, you’ll find stairs leading to the platform, but on the lower left side, you’ll find a dead body alongside the journal.
Journal #3: Torn Page from Shira’s Journal
The last journal is not far off from the second one. From the stairs, head back a little and enter the bunker in the far right corner. Make your way downstairs until you reach a room with a war table on the center. The final journal will be on top of the table.
