Dribbling is one of the key foundations of basketball as it lets you keep the ball in your hand as you head toward the hoop. Apart from that, dribbling also lets you create enough space between you and your opponent each time you try to get a shot.

That said, the new NBA 2K23 game features an all-new mechanic which is called Adrenaline Boost. This mechanic essentially grants you more control over your dribbling in the game.

Let’s find out how it works and how you can master the art of dribbling.

Adrenaline Boosts are basically designed to prevent overdribbling. You can see them under your stamina which is evident by the three small bars.

Each time you perform an explosive sprint launch or even a hard go, you will consume a boost. After using up all three boosts, you’ll notice your acceleration and speed declining rapidly.

As mentioned earlier, your player will suffer from lower movement speed after losing all three bars. However, you can only drain those bars by performing explosive sprint launches. The idea behind this new mechanic is great as it lets you play more efficiently and prevents you from spamming your dribbles.

Also, with the introduction of Skill Moves in the game, players will be able to enjoy a handful of dribbling combos. Also, speed will play a major role in how you can efficiently dribble in the game. This means that you can now pass balls a lot quicker between you and your teammates than before.
