Do you want to know how to be better in the new MultiVersus game? Do you want to dominate and win all of your matches in MultiVersus? The answer you’re looking for is here. We will show you how to Wavedash and increase your chances at winning.

How to Wavedash / Dodge Cancel

In fighting games such as Tekken and Smash Bros, we have this term called Wavedash, a technique that lets you reposition yourself and move at a higher speed than walking, allowing you to reach opponents across the screen faster.

Only characters that have a chargeable down move can do the wavedash. But not every character with a chargeable down move can do it well, like Arya Stark. An example of a character that can do it very well is Shaggy.

Doing The Wavedash / Dodge Cancel

The wavedash is done by a downward charge attack, then canceling it into a dodge. But not every character with a chargeable downward attack can cancel it into a dodge.

The key here is to repeat the move until you can get the hang of it. Doing it slowly and then faster helps in familiarizing yourself with the wavedash.

Characters with a neutral move but have a chargeable downward attack like Batman can also do the wavedash. But, to do so, you have to swap your buttons in the settings to activate it.

Popular characters for the wavedash move are Shaggy, Batman, Garnet, Jake the Dog, and Harley Quinn.
