11 articlesSilkspear is the first skill you get in Hollow Knight: Silksong. You should get this one within the first hour or less, truth be told. However, it’s easy to get lost in Silksong, especially since the game itself doesn’t give you much direction! Fret not, though, we’ll help you get this useful and powerful skill so you can grab it ASAP.
How to Get Silkspear Skill | Hollow Knight: Silksong
You can get the Silkspear pretty early on. As shown on the map above, you just need to reach the top of the Mosshome area.
To get there, you’ll need to go right from the Bone Bottom town. Then, just keep going through The Marrow by continuing up to the top left exit until you reach an area covered in plants. Try to be surprised here, but that area full of plants is Mosshome!
Once you get to that room, look for the coffin of a Weaver at the top of the room. It’s shown above for reference. Simply interact with it and you’ll get a short sequence, which will end with you claiming the Silkspear skill as a permanent upgrade.

You can use it when you have some Silk charges to deal pretty decent damage. For exploration, you can use it to break thick Silk barriers and reach new spots.
