The Wake of the Water update for Enshrouded added water physics, so it’s time to make the most of them by building a waterfall!

This is a great way to “break in” these new mechanics, after all. Plus, it’s a fairly easy build that has a lot of potential for customization, so it can make a nice addition to any base you have.

In this quick guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to make your own waterfall.

How to Build a Waterfall | Enshrouded: Wake of the Water

The first thing you’ll need to make your own waterfall is to get 1 Water Dispenser. You can craft them at the Workbench with 4 Iron Bars. The recipe should unlock as soon as you get your first Iron Bar.

You’ll also want either 1 Floor Drain or 1 Wall Drain, with the Wall Drain being recommended. They can be crafted with 1 Stone or with 1 Iron Bar at a Workbench. Both versions look different, but function the same.

With those basics down, you need to find a spot you like to start making your waterfall. The idea is to morph the terrain to create a source for the water leading into a pool.

You can use blocks to easily morph terrain. Removing the blocks placed on the terrain will clear out and shape the terrain to accommodate the blocks, which can help get the desired shape. A basic waterfall before water should look something like the above.

When you have everything shaped to your liking, go to the top of the waterfall where you want your water to come from. Place a Water Dispenser there and make sure it follows the path you want to your pool.

With that done, go to the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Place 1 Wall Drain at the highest point you want the water to reach. This is necessary to prevent flooding! A Floor Drain also works here, although the pool will be shallower by default.

At this point, the basics of your waterfall should be all set! You now just need to add details to customize it to your liking. But at least now you know how to build a waterfall in Enshrouded!

Speaking of customization, make sure to get all of the blocks in the Wake of the Water to expand your options.
