You can recruit the big sect leaders in Hero’s Adventure: Road to Passion, but only after you’ve already proven your might.

Recruiting the leaders can only be done if you have certain specific traits and even require multiple playthroughs to achieve!

How to Recruit All 6 Big Sect Leaders

To begin, you can only recruit the leaders of the 6 big sects if you have the Jianghu Master or Jianghu Conqueror traits.

You’ll need to beat the game by subduing or destroying all 6 sects to unlock those traits, which will also get you one of the game’s True Endings.

Once you’ve obtained these endings, start a new playthrough and pick up either the Jianghu Master or the Jianghu Conqueror trait. It doesn’t matter which, as long as you have one (or both!).

Next, head to Linlang Temple and meet with Fu Yaozi. Ask him to spar with you. Defeat Fu Yaozi during the sparring session and he will reward you with one of two items.

He will give you the Jianghu Master Token if you have Jianghu Master, or the Heart Broken Pill if you have Jianghu Conqueror.

Both items will allow you to recruit pretty much anyone in the game, including the 6 main sect leaders. However, the effect only lasts 10 in-game days. They will leave your party after the effect ends.

Either way, your next step is to go meet the sect leader you wish to recruit. The recruiting method varies slightly based on which trait you have:

• Jianghu Master: Just select “Recruit” and they will join you. They really can’t resist the token, just like the item description says!
• Jianghu Conqueror: Select the “Recruit” option, which will trigger a fight. Win the fight and the leader will join you.

Remember that both of these methods only last for 10 days, though! You will need to repeat the entire process to recruit them again after they leave, including sparring with Fu Yaozi.
