To obtain the Confucius Saint ending, you’ll need to join the Confucius Temple sect and read 10 unique books.

These books are found all over the game’s world, so obtaining them will be the biggest hurdle for this ending! Nonetheless, they aren’t actually that hard to get once you know where to look.

Do note, however, that each book has two names in English currently.

This is due to a quirk with the game’s community-driven English translation and the use of machine translation. Just in case, we’ll make note of both names.

All Confucius Saint Books Location

1. Compendium of Beasts (Beast Compendium): Inside a chest in the Hall of Righteousness at the Confucius Temple. You can only enter by defeating Ling Hongxuan. The chest requires Machinery 4.
2. Compendium of Commerce (Business Mirror): Inside a chest hidden in the top-left of the central court of the Confucius Temple, requires Machinery 4.
3. Feng Shui Secrets (Feng Shui Secret Art): Inside a chest in the first corridor at Mang Mountain Pit, requires Machinery 1.
4. Geographical Records (Geographical Atlas): Inside a chest in the Ink House at the Confucius Temple, requires Machinery 3.
5. The Book of Rites (Ritual Book): On a child’s table during the morning classes at the Confucius Temple.
6. The New Songs from the Jade Terrace (Jade Platform New Song): Sold at the Confucius Temple’s sect shop for 2000 Contribution Points.
7. The Prophecy (Push Back Picture): Found at the tomb in Mang Mountain Tip if you refuse Ming Bufan’s help. You’ll need Machinery 5, however.
8. The Secret of Eloquence (Eloquent Secret Book): Inside a chest in the Literature Room at the Confucius Temple, requires Machinery 4.
9. The Supreme Response (Supreme Induction Chapter): Given to you by Ling Hongxuian after you get 60 Relation with him and recruit Qu Wangyou.
10. The Thirty-three Swordmen (Thirty-three Swordsmen Picture): Inside a chest in the Disciple Room at the Confucius Temple, requires Machinery 1.

What to Do with All the Books

Now that you have a nice book collection ready, there’s only one thing left to do: reading.

Go to the Disciples’ Room at the Confucius Temple and read them there. They can’t be read anywhere else!

You’ll get the Confucius Saint ending as soon as you finish up all the reading. Additionally, you will earn an achievement and the Trait “Unity of Knowledge and Action”. Congrats!
