The Fortnite Galactic Battle season is here, bringing a bunch of Star Wars-themed Story Quests that you can discover and complete.
These Story Quests will see you meeting and working with different Star Wars characters. Get pilot training from Poe Dameron, help General Grievous expand his lightsaber collection, fix and command a TIE Fighter, and more. All of these also contribute to the general “Discover and Complete Story Quests” objective!
Now, read on and we’ll help you discover and complete all Story Quests in Week 1 of Fortnite Galactic Battle.
Discover & Complete Story Quests in Week 1 | Fortnite Galactic Battle Guide
Before we start, note that you can only do a total of 6 Story Quests as of this writing. Of course, more are expected to be added later in the season. For now, that’s enough to get you to Stage 2 of the “Discover and Complete Story Quests” objective, where you should have 2/7 at the end. With that in mind, let’s dive in!
Fix the TIE Fighter
For this Story Quest, you have to go to the crossroad directly south of Flooded Frogs and north of Lonewolf Lair. You will find a small camp there with the broken-down TIE fighter and some hostile NPCs.
Once you’re there, look for a terminal on the southeastern part of the camp with an exclamation sign (!) marker on it. Interact with it to initiate the quest, which will require you to gather some fuel to fix the TIE Fighter.
Now, you need to look for three fuel barrels here. They’re large black barrels, like the one shown in the example above. Thankfully, all 3 of them are near the TIE Fighter itself and they also get marked on your map with exclamation signs.
When you’ve collected all 3 fuel barrels, approach the TIE Fighter itself and you’ll get the prompt to fix it. It will be all fixed up and ready to go, so you can use it yourself if you wish!
Do note that this quest can be repeated to obtain the TIE Fighter again. However, it will not count toward your “Deliver and Complete Story Quests” objective progress after the first time.
Grievous’ Collection
For this one, go to the road directly north of Masked Meadows.
You will find General Grievous wandering around the area there. Remember to look for the exclamation mark on your minimap to spot him more easily. Once you do see him, approach him and talk with him about the Lightsaber Collection.
Now, you need to find a Jedi Padawan Lightsaber and give it to Grievous. For those who aren’t Star Wars fans, that means you need a blue lightsaber! The trick here is that to get one, you must find one of Rey’s Jedi Training Rift Gates.
The issue with finding Rey’s Jedi Training gates is that their location is randomized each match and they only start appearing after the storm circle shrinks once. However, you can find these Rift Gates in your map as blue emblems with a lightsaber on them. They look like the one in the example screenshot above.
Once you do manage to find one of these Rift Gates, just approach it and talk with Rey’s hologram. Accept to undergo the training and then just watch the short animation of your character entering and exiting the gate. You’ll receive a Padawan Lightsaber automatically, too!
With that done, you now just need to return to General Grievous in the same spot as before. Give him the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber and you’ll complete this quest! You’ll get a Mythic IQA-11 and a Med Kit as a reward.
This is a repeatable quest, just like the TIE Fighter one. Repeating it won’t count towards the “Deliver and Complete Story Quests” objective progress in Fortnite Galactic Battle, though. However, you’ll get the Mythic IQA-11 and Med Kit again.
Poe’s Flight Lessons
This time you’ll need to go to the Resistance Base on the northwestern corner of the island.
When you reach the base, you need to look for Poe Dameron. Like most other NPCs in the game, he’s roaming around the area so it’s best to keep an eye on the exclamation sign marker on your minimap to find him. Anyway, just find him and talk to him about Flight Lessons.
Now that you’ve accepted the quest, you need to get yourself an X-Wing. If you’re lucky and it’s still early in the match, you can find one directly northwest of the Resistance Base. That’s the easiest one to get, too!
When you get to that spot, just approach the X-Wing and enter it.
All that’s left for you to do now is to find any structures and shoot them with the X-Wing’s guns. The gas station south of the Resistance Base is a good one, for example. You’ll complete the objective as soon as you destroy a total of 25 structures. Keep in mind that “structures” is a very wide category in Fortnite, as it includes things such as single walls, for example.
When you’re done wrecking things, just return to Poe at the Resistance Base and choose the Finish Lesson option. You’ll receive a Legendary A280-CFE Blaster Rifle as a reward, too!
This quest is repeatable as well. However, like all the other repeatable quests, repeats don’t count towards the “Discover and Complete Story Quests” progression. Also, repeats will task you with flying 500 meters on the X-Wing instead of destroying structures. Nonetheless, it’s a good way to get a Legendary weapon early!
Rebel Data Entries
You’ll have to move around a bit more than usual for this one! You need to find 4 different Rebel Data Entries, all of which are located in the northwestern quarter of the island. The map above shows all of their locations for you.
Once you go to any of these spots, look for a computer terminal. As always, it will have an exclamation sign marker right above it. It also looks identical to the one you used to fix the TIE Fighter, if you’ve been following this guide in order. Just interact with them to collect the data logs.
Conveniently, any data logs you’re missing will be marked on your map after you collect the first one. They’re all pretty easy to find, too, as they’re mostly out in the open. So, just use our map and the in-game map to find them with ease! Just interact with 4 terminals and this quest is completed.
Do note, the terminals for this quest might be a bit buggy sometimes. If you can’t interact with them, just finish or quit the match and start another one. As a bonus, it seems you can interact with the same terminal multiple times across matches and it will count as a different one.
Stormtrooper Data Entries
This is a bit similar to the Rebel Data Entries, though it’s a lot simpler. For this one, go to Vader Samurai’s Solitude on the southwestern corner of the island. Be warned, though, you might end up fighting Darth Vader and his troops there! Be ready for that.
Once you’re in Vader Samurai’s Solitude complex, look for interactable terminals like the one shown above. There are about a dozen of them spread all over the complex, and they all appear on your minimap with exclamation sign markers.
Despite there being so many of these terminals, you only need to interact with 4 of them. You don’t need to find any specific ones, either, so any of them will do. Just walk around the complex following your minimap and you’ll be able to get these in a jiffy!
The only real issue with this quest is that the terminals can be broken, either by you or other players. This is especially likely if Darth Vader and his troops are around, as they can make things pretty hectic. So, be careful not to break terminals if you’re engaged in combat.
Witness Daigo’s Fate
This one is a bit of an odd one, as it technically isn’t part of the Star Wars-themed missions. However, it counts toward the “Discover & Complete Story Quests” progress in Fortnite Galactic Battle. To complete this one, just go to the First Order Base in the northeastern corner of the island.
You should automatically complete the quest as soon as you get near the base, even if you just landed on it. That’s another reason why this one’s odd! If you don’t get it instantly, roam around the area and eliminate any NPCs you encounter. It seems to be a bit random, too…
Either way, completing this one will unlock the “Daigo’s Fate” cinematic video. You can watch it whenever you wish by checking the Daigo’s Fate quest within the Quests menu while you’re not in a match.
So, there you have it! That’s all the Story Quests you can discover and complete during Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Galactic Battle. While you’re at it, make sure to get the free First Oder Stormtrooper skin to fit in with the current theme!
