Farming in Fornite: Save the World has always been one of those things you either have figured out or you are constantly running dry mid-mission. For a long time, the meta was pretty set in stone. But the Supply Drop recently got a significant buff and now drops a lot more materials than it used to. That one change alone has shifted what the best farming loadout actually looks like.
If you have been running the same setup for a while, it is probably worth revisiting. In this guide, I will cover the best farming loadout in Save the World right now, built around getting the most out of the updated Supply Drop.
Best Loadout for Farming in Save The World
Before the previous update, Fossil Southie was the go to pick for farming and pretty much everyone ran him. But the recent update changed things. Supply Drop got a significant buff and its cooldown was shortened, which opened the door for a better option.
The new best loadout now revolves around Undercover Buzz. When slotted as the commander, she reduces gadget cooldowns by 50%. That brings the Supply Drop cooldown down from 3 minutes to just 90 seconds. For a farming loadout, that is a massive deal. You are calling in Supply Drops twice as often, which means a lot more materials coming in without doing anything extra.
Here is the complete loadout:
- Undercover Buzz (Commander)
- She is the whole reason this loadout works. Her 50% Gadget Cooldown reduction is what brings the Supply Drop down to 90 seconds.
- Prehistoric Izza (Saurian Hide)
- When your Shield is depleted, your Armor increases by 33. Keeps you alive while you are out farming.
- Fossil Southie (Saurian Focus)
- While Shield is depleted, regenerates 4 Energy per second. He may no longer be the commander pick, but he still earns his spot in the support slots.
- Archaeolo-Jess (Strike Cost)
- Increases Anti-Material Charge heavy attack efficiency by 28%. More efficiency means more materials per swing.
- Fallen Love Ranger Jonesy (Fuel for the Fallen)
- Eliminations restore 6 Energy over 3 seconds, and the duration refreshes with each additional elimination. Great for keeping your energy topped up while clearing husks between drops.
- Cassie “Clip” Lipman (High Caliber Harvest)
- Anti-Material Charge has a 33% chance to drop additional ingredients. A straightforward but very useful perk that adds up over a long farming session.
- Supply Drop
- The main reason this whole build exists. With the recent buff and Buzz cutting the cooldown in half, you are calling this in far more often than before.
- Stationary Hover Turret
- This handles the husks while you focus on farming. Set it up and let it do its job. Having cooldown reduction from Undercover Buzz makes this even more effective.

Wrapping Up
This loadout is about as efficient as farming gets in Save the World right now. The cooldown reduction from Undercover Buzz stacked with the Supply Drop buff is a combination that genuinely changes how much you can bring in per mission. Run this for a few sessions and you will notice the difference pretty quickly!
