Dark and Darker: How to Play the Fighter Class Guide

At the start of your journey in playing Dark and Darker, one of the first and most crucial decisions you have to make is to choose which class you are going to play.

There are six classes that you can pick from in Dark and Darker. Namely, these are Ranger, Wizard, Barbarian, Rogue, Fighter, and Cleric. Each class has to perform a specific role to make their team function properly and efficiently. Along with this, there are also the strengths and weaknesses of each class.

How to Play the Fighter Class guide in Dark and Darker

To be able to play the fighter role properly, you have to be able to fully understand the skill tree, abilities, and equipment. This way, defeating enemy teams will be just a piece of cake for you. This means there will be a higher chance of you looting items from them.

But before that, let’s first know what it is to be like in a fighter class.

Fighter Class

As a fighter, it is expected of you to be one of the greatest damage dealers on the team. Plus, you are also a melee character which means you have to deal with close-contact combats. Aside from that, you must also have a few tanky characteristics to increase your survivability.

The only drawback of being a fighter is being slow. It’s not that slow but compared to other classes, the fighter class has a relatively lower movement speed. Plus, carrying heavy armor also adds to making it even slower.

These are some of the factors that you have to take into consideration when picking this class. And that leads us to your skill choices.

Fighter Skills

First off with the defense, it is better to leave the selection of the Defense Expert. Choosing this will give you an extra 10% increase to all of your equipped armor’s stats.

Next, equip the skill called Swift to reduce the speed debuffs caused by your armors by 10%. Although it is not a big number, it is still essential to help you become slightly faster.

Combo Attack is also helpful for you to improve the damage of each of your strikes by 10%. This would be perfectly paired with fast weapons such as swords.

Lastly, choose the Counter Attack to increase your movement and attack speed for three seconds after you have successfully blocked an attack.

Moving on, click on the Skills tab. You will have the option to choose two active skills out of five choices.

Sprint is one good choice to significantly increase your movement speed. As a fighter, it is also good for tracking and chasing down enemies.

Aside from that, the Second Wind is also a good choice. This skill heals you over time. You can take advantage of this skill during the fight by backing out for a short while and healing yourself. You can also annoy your enemies with this because once you rejoin the fight, you will have fully replenished health.

Best Fighter Weapons

As a fighter, you also have the ability to choose whether you like being a one-handed fighter or a dual-wielder.

If you prefer one-hand weapons, the Arming Sword and Falchion are good options. Otherwise, you can pick the Halberd, Spear, or Bardiche.
