Players will come across this riddle upon exploring the Mechanicus temple on Rykad. Rykad is also full of safe puzzles!

Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader: Ancient Bunker Guide (Mercatum Tabula Quest)Jan 6, 2024Head toward the upper-right section of the area until you find the chamber that contains the Data Altar of Sacred Analysis. Interact with the Cogitator nearby to begin the hymn sequence puzzle.
The premise of the puzzle is simple: “Pilgrim, only the words of the First Galvanic Hymn will reveal to you the gifts hidden behind the veil of knowledge. Now chant with me: “Let us sing this canticle to…“
The challenge revolves around choosing the right verses of the First Galvanic Hymn to satisfy the machine spirit.
To complete the puzzle, all you have to do is choose the following responses in order:
- … the Omnissiah, from whom the holy discharge springeth forth
- … the arcane key that closeth the circuit
- … the immortal reason that hath created the spark
These dialogue options will appear in the following order on the dialogue screen: 2-5-4. So, for the first chant, select the second dialogue option, for the second chant, the fifth, and for the third chant, the fourth.
Once all lines are selected correctly, the Cogitator will then unlock the hidden reward chamber.
Rewards Upon Completion
Completing the puzzle will grant you access to additional loot hidden behind the sealed area. They’re as follows:
- Arc Rifle – When a target is hit with this weapon, they also attack all enemies that are within 2 cells of the target hit.
- Pinpointing Visor – It gives the character +15% critical hit chance for ranged attacks against enemies with less than 50% wounds left.
- Cargo
More importantly, this puzzle will introduce you to cryptic Mechanicus-themed puzzles that will appear throughout the rest of your playthrough.

It’s worth noting that even longtime Warhammer fans find it hard to actually answer the puzzle since there’s very little information until the final selection.
