The Shredder is a threat because it does constant shrapnel blasts around itself. These deal massive damage and are particularly bad in close quarters. Fun fact: pretty much all of the Stella Montis map is close quarters! Great combination, right?

How to Defeat Shredder the Easiest Way | ARC Raiders
By far the easiest way to defeat Shredders is to use grenades. In particular, the Snap Blast and Seeker grenades seem to be the most efficient. Just two or three of them can instantly take out a Shredder!

ARC Raiders: Where to Find Turbine CompressorApr 30, 2026So, if you know a Shredder is nearby, you should just seek cover behind a wall. Then, throw 2 or 3 grenades at it. Wait a bit for the Shredder’s death explosion and you’re in the clear.
If you don’t wish to use grenades, you’ll instead need to bring a weapon with solid ARC Armor Penetration. As usual here, the Ferro and Anvil are solid choices.
With these guns, you want to aim for the thrusters at the bottom of the Shredder. Do not aim at its glowing “eye”, as it’s very armored! It’s purposefully misleading you by making you think that’s its weakpoint, like other ARCs…
Just like if you used grenades, make sure to keep your distance from the Shredder when shooting at it. It’s fairly slow, so it’s easy to kite and hide from.
Remember, keeping out of its range and behind cover is extremely important. The Shredder’s AOE shrapnel blasts do massive damage and can easily kill you almost instantly.
With that said, you now know everything you need to be able to defeat the Shredder ARCs in the easiest way possible in ARC Raiders! They’re still scary, but at least now you know what to do.
