If you played the original Warzone when it first launched back in 2020, then you might be familiar with the Plunder mode. It’s basically one of the two game modes available at that time.

That said, the Plunder game mode has made a comeback in Warzone 2, and it’s getting all players pumped due to its exciting features.

There are lots of events to look forward to, and here, we’re going to talk about all of them and explain how the Plunder update works.

In Plunder, you and your squad will aim to collect as much in-game cash as possible in order to secure victory. Specifically, the first team to gather $1 million will win the game. Of course, it’s easier said than done.

Obviously, you will also have to contend with enemy players who will also have the same objective as your squad.

You will have to complete contracts, take part in events, get rid of enemies, and a whole lot more!

You will be able to deposit the cash you collected into a cash deposit balloon or a cash deposit helipad. It’s basically a Battle Royale style of game, except it’s much less stressful.

Aside from that, the update also features a rapid respawn system which allows you to get back to action as quickly as possible. This allows for non-stop action throughout the duration of the match.

That said, there are a handful of events that you can expect which are as follows:

  • Contractor – During a short period, you will be able to earn double cash rewards after completing contracts.
  • Blood Money – This event grants you double cash for taking down enemy Operators during its duration.
  • Choke Hold – Basically the shrinking circle in Battle Royale games that activates when a match goes a bit too long.
  • Money Siphon – Allows you to collect an endless supply of cash in ATMs throughout the map.

It’s worth noting that several events can take place in a single match. There are even times when multiple events will take place at the same time.

What are the Rewards

Of course, the Plunder update won’t be exciting if there are no rewards. You will be able to earn up to nine different rewards which you can get by completing challenges.

Rewards include double XP tokens, weapon blueprints, and calling cards, among others. You will be able to find them in the Event exchange store, and the neat part is that they are permanent.

That said, you need to earn trophies which you can get from winning Plunder matches, killing enemies, and engaging in certain events.

You then use those trophies to redeem rewards in the Event exchange store.
