As a master of Conjuration in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, you’ll be able to find and use a large variety of summoning spells.

Just as the name implies, summoning spells are spells that let you summon entities. These can range from humble weak ghouls to powerful Dremora lords! However, you’ll need to hunt down the NPCs selling these spells to use them.

Read on and we’ll tell you where to find all of the Summon X spells for the Conjuration magic school.

You can buy almost all of the Summon-type spells from a single place. For that, head to Chorrol’s Mages Guild hall, marked on the map above. It’s near the town’s northern gate.

You can find two key NPCs for Conjuration spells within. The first one is Alberic Little, who sells the following Apprentice Level summoning spells:

  • Summon Ghost
  • Summon Scamp
  • Summon Skeleton
  • Summon Zombie

That aside, you can also find another NPC named Athagar within this Mages Guild chapter. He sells the following spells:

  • Journeyman Level
    • Summon Dremora
    • Summon Flame Atronach
    • Summon headless Zombie
    • Summon Skeleton Guardian
  • Expert Level
    • Summon Clannfear
    • Summon Daedroth
    • Summon Faded Wraith
    • Summon Frost Atronach
    • Summon Skeleton Champion
    • Summon Skeleton Hero
    • Summon Spider Daedra

Do note that both NPCs will not sell spells to you if they are resting or eating. Try talking to them around 1 PM, as they always seem to be free at that time.

Now, that covers all of the Journeyman to Expert Conjuration spells for summoning. However, the Master-level spells are a bit more spread out, though they’re not hard to find either. Here’s where you can get all of the Master summoning spells:

  • Summon Dremora Lord – Sold by Volarano. You can find him wandering inside the Bruma Mages Guild.
  • Summon Gloom Wraith – Sold by Borissean. He’s always inside the Imperial City’s Mages Guild Arcane University. You’ll need to complete all Recommendation quests to access it.
  • Summon Lich – Sold by Borissean.
  • Summon Xivilai – Sold by Borissean.
  • Summon Storm Atronach – Sold by Vigge the Cautious. You can find him at the Skingrad Mages Guild.

These are all of the Summoning spells in the “base game”, though there are also a few more to cover in the Shivering Isles expansion.

Shivering Isles Summoning Spells

The Shivering Isles expansion, which is bundled in with Oblivion Remastered, introduces a few extra summoning spells. For the first set of these, you want to go to Earil’s Mysteries, which you can find in The Crucible within New Sheoth. Earil there will sell you the following spells:

  • Apprentice Level
    • Summon Hunger
  • Journeyman Level
    • Summon Gluttonous Hunger
    • Summon Decrepit Shambles
  • Expert Level
    • Summon Ravenous Hunger
    • Summon Shambles
  • Master Level
    • Summon Voracious Hunger
    • Summon Replete Shambles

As for the rest of the Shivering Isles’ summoning spells, they are earned throughout the expansion’s main story. We’ll try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, but here’s when each one unlocks in order:

  • Summon Haskill – Baiting the Trap quest.
  • Summon Flesh Astronach – Rebuilding the Gatekeeper quest.
  • Summon Dark Seducer – Do the Ritual of Dementia during Ritual of Accession for a 60-second summon. You’ll get a 120-second version during The Helpless Army if you did the Ritual of Mania instead.
  • Summon Golden Saint – Do the Ritual of Mania during Ritual of Accession for a 60-second summon. You’ll get a 120-second version during The Helpless Army if you did the Ritual of Dementia instead.

When it comes to the Dark Seducer and Golden Saint, just be aware that you can’t have the longer 120-second summon for both at once. It’s one or the other based on your choice during the Ritual of Accession, so keep that in mind.

So, there you have it, that’s how to get all Summoning spells in Oblivion Remastered! Make sure to check out our guide on how to level up Conjuration, since that’s the school these spells belong to.
