Fortnite has yet another update that changes the map in various ways and adds all kinds of new stuff to discover and loot. Among these are the hero caches, which you can search for all sorts of rewards in your match, and in this guide, we will go through everything you need to know in order to start looking for these special chests.

Fortnite – Search Hero Caches Locations Guide

Just to save you time, you should know that hero caches can spawn in random places in the map. We cannot give you an exact location to check, because they can show up literally anywhere. You just need to go through every building you encounter in hopes of finding one.

However, what we can tell you is that there is a guaranteed spawn for these at the Supernova Academy part of the map, which is at the northernmost spot between the First Order Base and the Flooded Frogs zone.

There, you will find some behind locked doors, which will require a specific Hero rank. This is earned by playing through the match normally. Whether you kill enemies, survive long enough, or whatever, you will gain points towards your hero rank.

Each of the locked doors, which requires different hero ranks, will require a certain rank. For example, a door with the letter C on it will require a hero rank of C before you can open it. If you check the windows, you should see some of the hero caches ripe for the taking.

Take note that these chests also require a certain hero rank to unlock, though in this case, if you are going to the Supernova Academy, the caches will require the same rank needed to open the doors they are locked behind.

And that is everything you need to know about them. Again, remember that these require you to be a certain hero rank before you can open them. For the ones that you spot in the open world, you might need to farm up first as there is no way for you to know what they need until you find them.
