Osaka Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows has 3 Samurai Daisho locations as well as 1 Legendary Chest for you to find.

Killing the Samurai Daisho will reward you with Knowledge Points, which you can use to further upgrade Naoe and Yasuke. The Legendary Chest, instead, contains a unique Legendary Light Armor for Naoe. Completing both of these tasks will get you 100% exploration for the area, as well!

Read on and we’ll tell you how to hunt down the Samurai Daisho and find the Legendary Chest at this castle.

Kill All 3 Samurai Daisho

We’ve covered the Samurai Daisho in Osaka Castle previously. It’s worth noting that you need to kill all 3 of them first before you can claim the Legendary Chest, so let’s get them out of the way!

Just in case, though, the map above shows the location of Osaka Castle itself if you have yet to go there. It’s north of Osaka in Izumi Settsu.

Our first Samurai Daisho here is the most mobile of the lot. This one patrols around the main keep in the middle of the Osaka Castle area. He should be easy to spot if you’re patient, however. Also, he usually stops near one of the hay piles you can dive into from the Osaka Castle Viewpoint, which is very convenient for assassinating him!

For the second Samurai Daisho, go to the southwestern part of Osaka Castle. He likes to patrol along the castle’s outer wall. Thankfully, there aren’t many other guards in his route, so he’s easy to take out.

Now, for the last one, go to the construction area on the southeastern corner of Osaka Castle. You’ll usually find him standing still between some of the scaffolding, as shown above. He doesn’t seem to patrol much, but there are other guards around him. Be careful not to be spotted if you wish to avoid combat.

Nonetheless, that’s all 3 Samurai Daisho locations within Osaka Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Taking all of them down will earn you 1 Mastery Point for Naoe and Yasuke. It will also allow you to get the Legendary Chest here!

Collecting the Legendary Chest

With all the Samurai Daisho dealt with, you can now collect the Legendary Chest in this area. The easiest way to reach it is to Fast Travel to the Osaka Tenshu Viewpoint. Alternatively, you’ll need to climb to the very top of the main Osaka Castle building.

Once you’re at the top of the main castle building, drop down from the roof to the level below. You should notice an open room there.

Enter the room and check the western wall to find the large red Legendary Chest. Open it up to get the Legendary “Peasant Clothes” Light Armor for Naoe.

This armor has the unique “Assassination with Attack” Engraving. This gives all your attacks a 3% chance to instantly remove 1 Health Segment when you hit an enemy. It’s nothing amazing, but it’s solid if you get lucky!

So, there you have it, that’s the locations for all of Osaka Castle’s Samurai Daisho and the Legendary Chest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. That’s all you need to get 100% exploration of this area.
