Cyberpunk 2077 has rocked gamers with its sci-fi free-roam stories ever since its release in December 2020. It has a compelling story about the underground society of a futuristic Night city.

During the mission “Search and Destroy”, Keannu Reeves – I mean, Johnny Silverhand tells you to get out of the building in which a quest notification appears “Leave the building”. But, did you know that you actually had the option to go back and save Takemura?

This guide will teach you how to enable the option to save Takemura during the Search and Destroy mission. Let’s get to it.

How to Save Takemura

In the mission “Search and Destroy”, Arasaka bursts into the building leaving the player lying on the floor. Johnny then tells you to get out of the building, but your player questions “what about Takemura?”. That’s the hint that you can actually save Takemura.

However, once you stand up there’s actually no mission prompt to save Takemura. This is why most players don’t even know that saving Takemura is even an option at this point, especially on their first playthrough.

To make the prompt show, simply go up the rubble. This will make the option of saving Takemura show up on the side of your screen.

If you don’t have the double jump option, simply go up the stairs. This action will also trigger the option of saving Takemura to appear on the side of the screen.

From then on, simply eliminate any Arasaka you see until you see Takemura.
